I'm sorry that your intro to Wikipedia has been so rough (although some of the comments from your colleagues haven't helped all that much). Anyway, the VfD process lasts 5 days at the minimum so you've plenty of time. In fact, it usually lasts 7-10 days just because of the number of articles nominated each day adn the fact that humans have to close the debates. You have a large number of delete votes stacked up against you at present, so, once you think the article has reached a standard that might change minds, you might want to call by the voters talk pages with a polite request for them to revisit the debate. However, with so many webforums and the like out there, the bar is usually set considerably high for inclusion so do be warned! Good luck. -Splash 22:15, 5 August 2005 (UTC)
- I guess that is what makes BotF unique amongst forums and message boards. It is not topical, yet the discussions are often quite dramatic and informative. Posters there are lawyers, engineers, teachers, writers, editors, you name it, and everyone contributes. Anyway, I am more interested in writing there as practice, rather than as a showcase for BotF or The Fray in general. Reasoned opinions are always welcome there, by the way, so if you happen to drop by there, find my nic and say hello (same nic). There is a wiki thread ongoing right now, but it is more indicative of a Friday than of a typical BotF thread.--SwingLowSweetDeej 22:34, 5 August 2005 (UTC)
