Your article has important, basic information about myotoxins. The picture you included is also very useful. In the Myotoxin section and the neutralization sections I got confused about what you were trying to say so I would definitely suggest looking over those sections and maybe reading them out loud to yourself. I know you mentioned in class that there are four types of myotoxins, and even if you don't have all the information about them I think it would be important to include them. Also, you say that the biological actions and molecular structure of crotamine have been elucidated but don't explain what they are. I think that would be a good place to expand. You should structure your page in a more coherent manner- for example I was confused about why phospholipase A2 came after crotamine- I think it would make more sense to put PLA2 above Crotamine and also to have a larger header about the four types of myotoxins and then to include crotamine under that heading. Could you say more about crotamine? You mention that its biological actions, structure, and gene were discovered in the past few decades but don't say much more about those. How does it enter the nucleus without a receptor? What does it do inside of the nucleus?

Is any more known about PLA_2?

Are there other myotoxins that you could talk about (I know you mentioned that it was hard to tell because of conflicting sources)?

In the neutralization section, you mention PLA_2 inhibitors. Is there any information on neutralizing or blocking the effects of crotamine? Why are conventional antivenom therapies not effective? Kathleenab (talk) 16:34, 7 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I think you've done a very good job so far with improving this article. You've found several useful sources and included a lot of important information that will make the mechanism of action of myotoxins clearer to the general public. Be careful with including citations for *all* your assertions, and also take care to correct typographical/grammatical errors before publishing to the main Wikipedia page. It might also be helpful to include links to other Wikipedia pages (you did a good job of this in your first section, but many other pages could be linked to: for example, there are Wiki articles about phospholipids, enzymes, and Crotalus durissus.) -- Katbartlow (talk) 17:22, 11 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Upon reading your revision, it looks to me like you've done a good job of incorporating changes, particularly by increasing the number of links.

I'd suggest clarifying the mechanism of action section and expanding it a bit. Based on the review you linked to, there appear to be both catalytic and non catalytic PLA2s. It might be nice to expand this section a bit more and go a little more thoroughly into the subtypes of PLA2s. Katbartlow (talk) 15:39, 18 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
