January 2009[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, you may not know that Wikipedia has a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Using different styles throughout the encyclopedia makes it harder to read. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Kevin McE (talk) 02:44, 17 January 2009 (UTC) You do not make it clear which of my edits you object to, but I am confident that all my edits on the Ecuador article are entirely in keeping with Wikipedia policies. Your edits of 19th December, however, showed a lack of formal tone, introduced unencyclopaedic opinion, placed inappropriate information into the lead paragraph, and made a comparison that was unspecific and was lacking worldview by comparing with one country. Your note on my page suggests that you would do well to familiarise yourself with the project's standards of etiquette. Kevin McE (talk) 02:52, 17 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
