Thanks for experimenting with Wikipedia. The links you added to the page Courtship have been removed. Please do not add commercial links—or links to your own private websites—to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or a mere collection of external links. You are, however, encouraged to add content instead of links. See the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Thanks. A link to the edit I have reverted can be found here: link. Thank you for your response on my talk page. I removed the links you mention because they were "spammed bare" in other words, the link was added to more than one page, and just the link was added, with no additional content. The link also doesn't serve as a citation for any of the content in the article. Wikipedia is in need of more content, not more external links. As the Wikipedia project is aiming for a print version, external links that don't add content to the article itself don't help WP very much. Please review WP:EL (Wikipedia External links guidelines) and WP:SPAM (Wikipedia spam guidelines) for more information about external links
If you still feel that the link you wish to add would be significantly useful to an article, post a message on the article's talk page describing the link, and then allow other editors of the article to discuss it and determine if it would be useful for the article.
I hope ths helps. Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns --AbsolutDan (talk) 16:13, 31 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
