I have been wakeboarding, waterskiing, wakesurfing and out on the water my whole life. I am fairly new to Wikipedia editing and working on improving. I built a fledgling wiki on my Naval Aviation website: [www.navygouge.com] but I have not been very good at keeping it up recently.
You will see that I have added Centurion Boats to wikipedia, but it has been nominated for deletion. I have been riding behind Centurions my whole life and noticed that MasterCraft, Malibu, Natique and even small or extinct companies like American Skier have an wikipedia page, but Centurion did not. I added Centurion since they have been a big part of the wakeboarding industry and there are thousands of boat owners out there who drive and ride behind Centurions like I do.
- You need to add some reliable third party references to the article. -Cntras (talk) 05:57, 10 June 2011 (UTC)
- Ok, I will add more. I have cited www.wakeboardingmag.com, which is the website for Wakeboarding Magazine, which is not a big mag, but it is one of only two magaines in the wakeboard industry. Is the Centurion Boats website adequately reliable? -Surfnavy (talk) 06:00, 10 June 2011 (UTC)
- Read WP:CORP, and try and find reliable sources that can substantiate the notability criteria. -Cntras (talk) 06:09, 10 June 2011 (UTC)
- WILCO. Thanks for the tip. I've got Wakeboarding Magazine, Waterski Magazine, Alliance Magazine and NASCAR race sponsorship. I'm sure there is more and I'll see what I can find. Surfnavy (talk) 06:34, 10 June 2011 (UTC)
