Agamudayar Mudali

[edit]

In that case, you must try to establish with neutral, unbiased sources that Agamudaya Mudali are different from Thevar. And I noticed that you didn't sign you post. Please have a look at the template above for Wikipedia's rules and guidelines. :-)-RavichandarMy coffee shop 11:51, 16 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppet case notification

[edit]

You have been accused of sockpuppetry, which means that someone suspects you of using multiple Wikipedia accounts for prohibited purposes. Please make yourself familiar with the notes for the suspect, then respond to the evidence at Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/Sureshmaran. Thank you. ShivNarayanan (talk) 05:55, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Sureshmaran. The sockpuppet case has now closed, but with no actions directed to you personally. There was a bit of unorthodox editing, but nothing serious. You can see the result by clicking on Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/Sureshmaran. EdJohnston (talk) 15:48, 7 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

S. Muthiah Mudaliar and C. Natesa Mudaliar

[edit]

From your edits in Wikipedia, I understand that you are an expert in the subject of Tondaimandala Saiva Vellalars :-) Could you please give me the full names of C. Natesa Mudaliar and S. Muthiah Mudaliar for usage in the respective articles? Thanks-RavichandarMy coffee shop 13:21, 25 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hmmm. That's okay! I'll look for it myself. No probs. Thanks anyway :-)-RavichandarMy coffee shop 23:34, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

G. V. Prakash Kumar still retains his Hindu name while his mother is A. R. Reihana. It's kind of perplexing. I just want to know if he is a practising Hindu or a Muslim. I guess his father still remains a Hindu but Prakash Kumar's religious affiliations remain unclear.-RavichandarMy coffee shop 05:53, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I added him to Category:Indian Hindus. But then, his mother is Muslim isn't she. That's why I had this doubt i. e. whether the addition is correct. Anyway, thanks for clarifying-RavichandarMy coffee shop 23:38, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dispute Resolution

[edit]

Hi! I've just started a dispute resolution process in the List of Thevars talk page. This move has been undertaken due to the fact that there has been some unpleasant conflicts here due to different groups claiming the Pandyas to be their own. I request your participation in this. Thanks-The EnforcerOffice of the secret service 09:18, 1 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't mistake me, but this move was intended because there have been people who edit such articles with motives in mind i.e. portraying their own community favorably or some else's in a negative manner. Of course, we need to maintain the sanctity of Wikipedia and articles should be based on academic research and WP:NPOV. I've taken note of the List of Vanniyars article but one thing which bothers me is the lack of participation. WP:INTN noticeboard, too, has been inactive for long. Should I move this discussion to some other place? Shall I move this to Chola dynasty or somewhere else. I don't think it will be a good idea to list the discussion in WP:IN as my earlier experience of listing the discussion there hasn't been much good. It would be great to hear your views on this. Also, I guess I can rely upon you to add references to some of these articles and prevent them from becoming a battleground.-The EnforcerOffice of the secret service 03:15, 3 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Varadarasanar

[edit]

I have nominated Varadarasanar, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Varadarasanar. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message.  Chzz  ►  02:48, 14 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Mallar (town), and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Mallar. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally moving or duplicating content, please be sure you have followed the procedure at Wikipedia:Splitting by acknowledging the duplication of material in edit summary to preserve attribution history.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 02:50, 10 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on S.P.Ayyaswami Mudaliar requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
