Joe Mesmar moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Joe Mesmar, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia; links to online media are not enough). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. The article Joe Mesmar has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
substantial copy of Draft:Joe Mesmar that has already been declined. Fails WP:NMusician.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. noq (talk) 18:38, 15 March 2020 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Joe Mesmar
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Joe Mesmar, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. [edit]Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. Seraphimblade Talk to me 02:59, 22 March 2020 (UTC)
Why are you thinking that I am doing Promotional advertising to Wikipedia? I just want to write the article of Joe Mesmar who deserves a Wikipedia page. That's it. Surelyshubham (talk) 17:15, 27 March 2020 (UTC)
- Don't use language like "top best-selling" or "His passion shined through his playing style." Summarize professional independent sources in a way that even people who hate him can agree with. Ian.thomson (talk) 12:37, 29 March 2020 (UTC)
- In addition to what Ian.thomson said (which is entirely correct), the deleted article contains things like:
He is best known for his remixes.
(this is "sourced" to a Soundcloud link which does not support the "best known" assertion at all, so best known by whom, according to whom? This is weasel wording),had picked up the sticks and began teaching himself the drums.
("picked up the sticks" is an inappropriate informal "get to know ya" tone; just "began teaching himself the drums" suffices to make the point),energetic live performances with innovative remixes intertwined with original material.
(full of puff terms; "energetic", "innovative", etc.). The rest of the article carried on that way. Wikipedia articles must be neutral in both tone and content, and material in them must be directly verified by reliable and independent sources. If sources don't verify how much he loved music as a kid, leave stuff like that out. Seraphimblade Talk to me 14:58, 29 March 2020 (UTC)
- Surelyshubham, nobody on Earth "deserves" a Wikipedia article. Articles exist because material (published,reliable sources) cover them in depth. That may not have happened with your artist friend yet. Any attempt at an article right now is promotional. You must wait for the media to catch up to your friend's great talent and achievements, and write about them extensively.--Quisqualis (talk) 16:28, 29 March 2020 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Mesmar Performing on Costa Rica.jpeg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Mesmar Performing on Costa Rica.jpeg, which you've attributed to Joe Mesmar. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 15:28, 11 April 2020 (UTC)

Hello Can you tell me if the article https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Draft:Joe_Mesmar is eligible to be published?
- Posting to your own talk page is like talking to yourself. See User:Ian.thomson/Guide#Getting_around_the_site for more info why.
- As for Draft:Joe Mesmar, the only professionally-published mainstream academic or journalistic source that is independent of Mesmar is this Vice piece. You need at least two more sources like that one. What you really need to do is find three or more sources like that, summarize and cite them, then paraphrase the summary -- don't waste your time or the reviewer's time with anything else, just put up the distilled proof of notability. Formatting (beyond inline citations for sources) and pictures are a waste of time, do that after the article is approved. Affiliated sources, such as interviews, are a waste of time until after the article is approved because they do not prove notability. User generated sources like Discogs {{sup|([[[[Wikipedia:RSP#Discogs|see RSP entry}}) are not reliable sources so never use them (even after the article is approved). Never bother with sites that sell or play his music, either. See User:Ian.thomson/Howto for step-by-step instructions on that. Ian.thomson (talk) 21:39, 7 May 2020 (UTC)
Deletion pending for File:Mesmar Performing on Costa Rica.jpeg
[edit]Hello, Surelyshubham. Some time ago, a file you uploaded — File:Mesmar Performing on Costa Rica.jpeg — was tagged with {{OTRS pending}}, indicating that you (or perhaps the copyright holder if you did not create this image) submitted a statement of permission to permissions-en@wikimedia.org. Though there is often a backlog processing messages received at this address, we should have received your message by now.
- If you have not submitted (or forwarded) a statement of permission, please send it immediately to permissions-en@wikimedia.org and let us know at the OTRS noticeboard that you have done so.
- If you have already sent this message, it is possible that there was a problem receiving it. Please re-send it to permissions-en@wikimedia.org and let us know at the OTRS noticeboard that you have done so.
If we don't hear from you within one week, the file will be deleted. If we can help you, please feel free to ask at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 14:37, 8 June 2020 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
