Obey Giant

[edit]

On the Wikipedia entry for Obey Giant, somebody has submitted a photo that they claim is from the 60s which says "Lee Harvey Oswald was a Patsy" and looks a lot like the original 'Andre the Giant has a posse" sticker. In your most recent revert, you quoted policy, but AGAIN failed to follow it. As you quoted: "entry in any such list requires a reliable source" ... yet you repeatedly re-insert the list without any sources to support them. Please see my reply on the article talk page where I tried to spell it out more clearly. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 04:40, 9 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, Into the Air: A Kiteboarding Experience, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. I'm just wondering what else I have to do to get this stub listed. Into The Air has been around for A LONG TIME. And it is seminal in terms of kiteboarding. At the time it was released, kiteboarding was a relatively new sport. Literally ALL the figures featured in the film went on to contribute to the sport as well as continue to kiteboard today. All are googleable as professional kiteboarders. What brought the absence of this film and the contributors–even the composers of the soundtrack are well known, highly recognized music composers–to my attention was simply picking up kiteboarding and seeing it referenced on the kiteboard forums from way back when all the way to today. To call Into The Air "non-notable" is to be unfamiliar with the sport and the film. If it were indeed non-notable it would not be an ongoing selection on Netflix and Amazon both, and it would not be remembered as it is today by kiteboarders, and it would not be chock full of young versions of some of the most well-known practitioners of the sport today. Yet, it is.

Hello, Surelyserious. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Into the Air: A Kiteboarding Experience".
