Kindly respect the decisions made by consensus on the Syrian War template. Legacypac (talk) 06:28, 29 December 2014 (UTC)

You know, just because someone keeps on repeating "2+2=5" over and over again, doesn't make it right. --Supreme Deliciousness (talk) 23:33, 29 December 2014 (UTC)

Global account

Hi Supreme Deliciousness! As a Steward I'm involved in the upcoming unification of all accounts organized by the Wikimedia Foundation (see m:Single User Login finalisation announcement). By looking at your account, I realized that you don't have a global account yet. In order to secure your name, I recommend you to create such account on your own by submitting your password on Special:MergeAccount and unifying your local accounts. If you have any problems with doing that or further questions, please don't hesitate to contact me on my talk page. Cheers, —DerHexer (Talk) 22:44, 18 January 2015 (UTC)

Hi Supreme Deliciousness, given your interest in Syrian matters, there is a discussion going on here in which we need your input. Cheers. Amr ibn Kulthoumعمرو بن كلثوم (talk) 13:26, 20 January 2015 (UTC)

Your "Crusade" vs. Reality

Dear SD. I respect your doggedness and the way you stick to principles - in principle :-) Fact is, the Middle East IS A MESS. You cannot approach it with the yardstick of European standards and regulations. Apart from that, Wikipedia certainly isn't the place for leading private crusades for justice. If I want to visit Petra and look it up on WP, it would only be a nuisance to find some crazed Revisionist Zionist adding a line that the League of Nations placed it within the potential "national home of the Jewish nation". And looking up those 3 (!) Druze leftover villages in Israel-occupied Golan, I'd like to see right away that they're now in "Israel", not "Syria" - NOT under international law, but as a matter of practical fact. The same way, it's not anybody's (smart) business to keep on changing the status of Kobani, Aleppo, Mosul or Raqqa depending on how the frontline moves. BORDERS AND MAPS ARE CONVENTIONS, borders don't reflect ultimate truths and maps are plain tools which should be CONVENIENT for the user and nothing more. Same goes for encycl. articles. You don't win battles for any cause by editing WP, at most you can confuse THE USERS, who are the only ones who should matter, not the editors' ego - yours or mine. I hope that we can agree on this mature, civilised basic principle and stop those ridiculous back-and-forth "wars". If you want, go ahead and write blogs and newspaper articles, shoot documentaries and so on, which still would not change reality, but explain it to the wider public. Or take a gun - or choose/start a political party, and actually change facts on the ground. Many causes are worth it. Take care and good luck, Arminden (talk) 22:54, 21 January 2015 (UTC)Arminden
