Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Judith Prakash. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism can result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. JudeccaXIII (talk) 03:54, 5 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Judith Prakash. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Jim1138 (talk) 07:03, 7 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Judith Prakash.

You did not add a source to your edit. See help:referencing for beginners. The source must use the exact phrase "Judith de Cruz" or it is invalid. Jim1138 (talk) 07:14, 7 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest with your username

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "SupCourt01", may not comply with our username policy. Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Foobar Museum of Art". However, you are invited to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you personally, such as "Jack Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87".

Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people, and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, or website, regardless of your username. Moreover, I recommend that you read our conflict of interest guideline. If you are a single individual and are willing to contribute to Wikipedia in an unbiased manner, please create a new account or request a change of username, by completing this form, that complies with our username policy. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. Jim1138 (talk) 07:19, 7 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Jim, Thank you for explaining. I have put in an application for name change. Very overwhelming. Meanwhile, can you undo the change for the first law firm as cited from the source: http://www.supremecourt.gov.sg/about-us/the-supreme-court-bench/justices

Changed the name. Also, I left you more info at the top. Wikipedia can be quite overwhelming. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 07:39, 7 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much Jim!

Notice of Edit warring noticeboard discussion

[edit]

Information icon Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. The thread is Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring#User:SupCourt01 reported by User:Minimac (Result: ). Thank you. Minima© (talk) 09:26, 7 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Dear @Minimac:I notice that you have sent a complaint with regard to the edits on Justice Judith Prakash. I have alerted various editors through their talk page on the source of the edits ie. http://www.supremecourt.gov.sg/about-us/the-supreme-court-bench/justices I am unsure how to include the source under reference list. Thank you SupCourt01 (talk) 09:40, 7 July 2016 (UTC)SupCourt01[reply]

You have been blocked temporarily from editing for abuse of editing privileges. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Materialscientist (talk) 09:42, 7 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Like I said earlier, I have the source for the edits. Can I understand why I am being blocked?

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I have cited valid source for the editsSupCourt01 (talk) 09:54, 7 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

It's nice that you have a source, but you didn't actually add it to the content in question. See WP:REFB on how to do that. Also, edit warring would not be OK even if the content you edit warred about had been referenced. Huon (talk) 10:08, 7 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

This is covered by the Wikipedia policy of wp:verifiability (WP:V). Please wp:cite your edits with wp:reliable sources (RS). See Help:Referencing for beginners, Help:Citation Style 1 and wp:Inline citations. Per WP:V unsourced content can be removed.
