March 2018[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm 49ersBelongInSanFrancisco. I noticed that you recently removed content from Kenneth Andam without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. 49ersBelongInSanFrancisco (talk) 08:12, 16 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Reason for removal[edit]

The article that you referred to in Utah county is still a pending case with sentencing still in suspense. Our firm represents Mr. Andam and we have filed to rescinded the plea that was published that you are keen on putting on his Wikipedia page. I feel that your intent is melacious and you are only posting here to defame Mr. Andam when the final verdict hasn’t been arrived at in this case. I don’t think Wikipedia was put online to be used to defame people’s characters when they are still in an on going case and that is why I removed it. What is your personal interest in Mr. Andam that makes you monitor his content on Wikipedia? Sunkwaina (talk) 18:23, 16 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The content is sourced and wikipedia is not censored nor are articles owned by their subject. If there is additional content you think should be included, you are welcome to provide a reliable, independent source that verifies it, but note that you have a conflict of interest and therefore should not edit the article directly (see guidelines below), but can suggest changes on its talk page. Thank you, Melcous (talk) 02:43, 17 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest guidelines[edit]

Information icon Hello, Sunkwaina. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Melcous (talk) 02:44, 17 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
