Speedy deletion nomination of of Category:Rape and Revenge Films
[edit]A tag has been placed on Category:Rape and Revenge Films, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page and leave a note on [[Talk:Category:Rape and Revenge Films|the article's talk page]] explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. thisisace (talk) 20:33, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
CfD nomination of Category:Rape and Revenge films
[edit]I have nominated Category:Rape and Revenge films (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs) for renaming to Category:Rape and revenge films (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at the discussion page. Thank you. Shawn in Montreal (talk) 04:18, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
I am thinking you may want to move a lot of the text from the main Dark Sun article to World of Dark Sun (currently a redirect). See World of Eberron for inspiration. My feeling is that the main Dark Sun article should be more about the creation of the setting itself, reception information and publication history, with just a relatively brief overview of the setting and fictional elements (we should aim for it to be more like the Dragonlance and Forgotten Realms articles, in other words). Let me know what you think about that. 65.126.152.254 (talk) 14:25, 5 June 2015 (UTC)
- I think that makes a lot of sense actually. I think it will clarify the article a great deal. I'll get it going!Sugarcoma (talk) 14:59, 5 June 2015 (UTC)
You should check the References section of the article, as there are several sources which do not show up properly. 65.126.152.254 (talk) 13:35, 10 June 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you kindly. I'll get it squared away later today.Sugarcoma (talk) 14:14, 10 June 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Speedy deletion nomination of Crippled Pilgrims
[edit]Hello Sugarcoma,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Crippled Pilgrims for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited WMPG, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Orono (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

The article List of Dark Sun characters has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
List of trivial characters that don't seem to require coverage to give context to the setting.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. TTN (talk) 00:10, 10 March 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Introduction to contentious topics
[edit]You have recently edited a page related to gender-related disputes or controversies or people associated with them, a topic designated as contentious. This standard message is designed as an introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially-designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.
