Articles on Rape

[edit]

You mentioned that you were interested in improving articles on rape in Wikipedia. Two articles that have improved significantly are Pregnancy from rape and Rape and pregnancy controversies in United States elections, 2012. I think they both have the potential to go to WP:FA. I just mention this, because you might be interested.Casprings (talk) 02:55, 17 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Did you realize that ...

[edit]

About 40% of Wikipedia's article on BP (British Petroleum) was written by a BP employee, and the the source of this text is not disclosed to our readers? BP was also the source of the horrific Deepwater Horizon oil spill. It recently pleaded guilty to lying to Congress and to lying to its own investors, but those facts are not included in the article, nor is there anything in the article about BP misleading our readers.

If you'd like to know why independent editors are leaving Wikipedia, please read User talk:Slim Virgin#Re: BP <Retired>

What can I say?

Please keep in touch.

I caught this by chance about an hour after it came out. I hope we can at least expect to see you as an editor for a long time. Thanks for everything you have done to improve the project...and you have truly done so much since I signed on I actually can't imagine a Wikipedia without you. I read about everything you have done and think...wow.--Amadscientist (talk) 12:26, 29 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

As the author of journal articles, not to mention a Wikipedia contributor, you might like to register (free, at http://orcid.org/register ) for an Open Researcher and Contributor IDentifier (ORCID). Once you have one, it can be displayed on your user page, and the article about you, using {{Authority control}}. This invitation is open to all Wikipedia editors. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Surplus killing, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Black bear (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
