Some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia may not be sufficiently well-known to merit articles of their own. The Wikipedia community welcomes newcomers, and encourages them to become Wikipedians. On Wikipedia, all users are entitled to a user page in which they can describe themselves, and this article's content may be incorporated into that page. However, to merit inclusion in the encyclopedia proper, a subject must be notable. We encourage you to write or improve articles on notable subjects. -- ¢² Connor K.   19:57, 22 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Subhashdus. I noticed the above page while doing new page patrol and deleted it the first time as a non-notable biography. I may have been incorrect about that deletion as I see you've recreated the page (perhaps a page about yourself?; I don't know). If you wouldn't mind taking a look at our notability guideline for people and seeing if it meets any of the criterion listed there. That would be helpful in terms of deciding where we go from here. Please let me know. You can just leave a message here. Thanks!--Kchase T 19:55, 15 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Kchase02, This article is not about myself. It is about the prominent educationist from Maharashtra, India who has decent contribution to education field. His civil engg research work is being used in construction field. He also belongs to Category Marathi People and is well known in Education and Maharashtrian community.

Hope this article is allowed to remain. I request you. Thanks a lot. Subhashdus.

Do you know if anyone has written articles about this person in newspapers or magazines in India?--Kchase T 20:32, 15 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Kchase02, Not only articles in Times of India, his work on Geotechnology is part of curriculum in number of foreign universities. I have noticed numerous articles about insignificant people in Wikipedia which have been allowed. But thats ok, if you are the decision maker, I respect your decision. Subhashdus.

I am the one who re-deleted and protected the page. As the article stood, it did not establish the notability of the subject. Please provide an external link or citation by which we can verify the notability of the subject, and we can restore the page. Otherwise, you will have to take this to Wikipedia:Deletion review. --DDG 19:32, 18 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello DDG, Thanks for getting in touch. Please visit following links to validate the credentials of the subject. There are many more of his subject matter related articles which I intended to add in the article for the benfit of Geology/ Geotechnology students and Researchers.

Will wait for your approval, DDG. Regards. Subhashdus.

Subhashdus- I've attempted to look at these resources, however, the first one does not seem to meet the wikipedia criteria of Wikipedia:Verifiability. We would expect an external source to be something like a newspaper. If you can find the aforementioned link to the Times of India article, that would be perfect. Please note that the website/article must not only mention him, but establish the subject's Wikipedia:Notability. --DDG 21:04, 19 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Hello DDG:; I checked the Wikipedia:Notability and found that the published material in Scientific journals and Recognized National institutions (in this case IIT, Kanpur & State Engineering College) are being considered. So in this case why this article is not getting its place which is verifiable ? Please let this be allowed the entry. Subhashdus.
    • Which link are you referring to? Unfortunately, the last two links you provide are to pages within someone's home directory, so it does not qualify as verifiable. Furthermore, I couldn't find his name on the list. Which articles are you referring to specifically? --DDG 21:20, 19 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • If the Subject is a State Government Official and Industry expert and has published work, why Wikipedia should object ?
    • You will need to provide a source proving that he is an "industry expert. From Wikipedia:Notability (people): "The person has been the primary subject of multiple non-trivial published works whose source is independent of the person." Unless you can provide a verifiable source that meets that criteria I cannot help you here. However, I am just one person. If you honestly believe this person is notable, please go to Wikipedia:Deletion Review, as I have stated many times. --DDG 21:48, 19 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • DDG: Thanks for your time. Subhashdus.
