[edit]Hello, I'm TBMNY. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. TBMNY (talk) 20:38, 31 January 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Remember when I said you could use your site only when other sites with a more well-known track record didn't report on the news? Well in some cases, it doesn't appear as if that's being followed. This may be in error, but you should know. Your edits for Cedric Doumbe and Yoann Kongolo have sources for their match on the official Glory website, meaning there was no need to use your website in those cases. I'm going to remove your citations and put in the proper one. Try to not let things like this happen in the future. Thanks! TBMNY (talk) 23:30, 6 February 2017 (UTC)
TBMNY At this point it is like you are just looking to single out my edits. I get press releases from Glory. If I hadn't made the updates to the Doumbe or Kongolo page the only updates that would occurs would be their fight records. So if I wait a week and no one bothers updating it your telling me I have to go and site Glory's page. If that's the case why aren't all the UFC fighters page citations from UFC.com? That doesn't make any sense. Just forget it man, I just wont make updates.
- I never said they had to be from Glory's website. I said in order to avoid the appearance of breaking the TOS for citation spamming, you should use more well-known sources whenever possible. I don't understand why/how that's difficult. A simple google search for Cedric Doumbe and Yoann Kongolo brings up the Glory page. It takes five seconds extra. The insistence on using only your own website for citations seems really fishy. It seems more about promoting your site or helping the SEO than actually helping the articles. Lots of the pages you're editing are stubs with almost no information. If you wanted to really help, you'd assist in filling out the bios instead of just putting a sentence and then citing your own website. TBMNY (talk) 01:03, 7 February 2017 (UTC)
