New user running hundreds of edits in one day

[edit]

Hi, I notice that you are classed a new user from today, but you are running advanced tools and making hundreds of edits on your first day? You may want to clarify your status, and the tools that you are using and your competency with them for other editors and administrators? thanks. Britishfinance (talk) 13:50, 6 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Britishfinance: Hi, just to clarify that I'm manually doing the edits. Does it violate the wikipedia policy in any way? If yes do let me know so I won't do it again :) ‑S.P.B.(Contri.)(Oink!) 13:53, 6 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Streaky Porky Bacon: No, it does not violate policy, but a brand new user on day one editing at such a scale (e.g. using HotCat), raises red-flags that you could have other accounts (which is not allowed), and/or not engaged in good faith activity.
