Speedy deletion nomination of Gyan Bharti Model Residential Complex

Shankara and the 'cleansing powder'

Regarding Shankara and the 'cleansing powder', it's in Atma Bodh verse 5:

Constant practice of knowledge purifies the Self (Jivatman), stained by ignorance, and then disappears itself - as the powder of the Kataka-nut settles down after it has cleansed the muddy water.

The Atman Bodh is a late work, incorrectly attributed to Adi Shankars. The Kataka-nut simile comes from Mandana Misra, and is typically not what Adi Shankara argues; he was a 'subitist', arguing that comprehending the mahavakya at once was enough for liberation.
