Hi. For the record, is "the Global Social Media Manager of Straumann" one specific person, or a position? If you should one day leave Straumann for whatever reason, will the account a) go with you, or b) be assigned to your successor? This is actually an important question; please answer ASAP. Hi, it would be b) "assigned to my successor". Is there an issue with that? Thanks for letting me know and best regards. Straumann (talk) 15:08, 29 April 2015
Yes, there's a serious issue with that. Any given Wikipedia account is to be used by only one person. That's not "one person at a time", it's "one person ever". Accounts which are attached to jobs instead of to people, or which are in any other way shared... get blocked. Rather than being "the Global Social Media Manager of Straumann", you should be "Mark (or whatever), the Global Social Media Manager etc". That way, the account can go with you. I strongly suggest that you post a request at Wikipedia:Changing usernames. DS (talk) 20:45, 29 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
