[edit]Please note that a Wikipedia article should contain more than just an infobox - some text is required in order to provide context for the reader. A lead section is a required component of the Guide to article layout, even if it is only a sentence or two. See WP:LEAD for guidance. Thanks, Jonathan Oldenbuck (talk) 14:49, 5 November 2009 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Kieran "Kiewii" Thomson
[edit]A tag has been placed on Kieran "Kiewii" Thomson requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. skew-t (talk) 13:39, 14 November 2009 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Kieran "Kiewii" Thomson, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. skew-t (talk) 13:47, 14 November 2009 (UTC)
Hello and welcome to Wikipedia, just to let you know, I undid your edits here because, although this is interesting, it is not needed in an encyclopaedia article about the book. Articles about books should focus on the wider context of the book, e.g. the reception by the public and the historical/social context in which it was written. Thanks and keep up the editing. Speedy deletion nomination of The X Factor (Wham Island)
[edit]You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.
Thank you.
A tag has been placed on The X Factor (Wham Island), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article that does not provide sufficient context to identify its subject. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}}
to the article and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. LittleOldMe (talk) 13:10, 16 November 2009 (UTC)
