Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

I hope not to seem unfriendly or make you feel unwelcome, but I noticed your username, and I am concerned that it might not meet Wikipedia's username policy for the following reason: Offensive usernames make harmonious editing difficult or impossible.. After you look over that policy, could we discuss that concern here?

I'd appreciate learning your own views, for instance your reasons for wanting this particular name, and what alternative username you might accept that avoids raising this concern.

You have several options freely available to you:

Thank you. Atmoz (talk) 16:28, 4 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I am not understanding...what is offensive? Strang Butz (talk) 23:03, 4 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring

[edit]

Please don't edit war on James Hansen. --TS 07:12, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on James Hansen. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. Atmoz (talk) 07:36, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I am doing the right thing asking for consensus prior to deleting well referenced long standing versions. U R doing the wrong thing. I did not revert 3X. Strang Butz (talk) 07:40, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

See WP:BOLD. -Atmoz (talk) 07:48, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I agree...my revert of your inappropriate deletion was bold. Thank you. Strang Butz (talk) 19:58, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It was your second revert that made it edit warring. --TS 22:44, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I wasn't edit warring, I was making bold edits (see above).Strang Butz (talk) 01:03, 6 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
