[edit]Hello, Stone Savant. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Hank Harrison, you may need to consider our guidance on conflicts of interest.
All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.
If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:
- Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
- Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
- Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
- Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.
Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. As you have said that you've uploaded an image you took of Hank Harrison and that it is copyright to Hank Harrison, I have to assume that you have a close relationship. Removing negative material from Hank Harrison
[edit]As I said, you have a conflict of interest here. I've raised the issue at WP:BLPN. Dougweller (talk) 17:07, 26 December 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for your post to my talk page. I actually didn't expect you to respond and am pleased that you have. You should still defend your removal of the negative material at WP:BLPN. I see this has been an issue in the past. I hope you understand why I removed the link about the polygraph test. Dougweller (talk) 18:19, 26 December 2012 (UTC)
Your recent editing history at Hank Harrison shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. Dougweller (talk) 06:24, 27 December 2012 (UTC)
Your denial of a closer relationship with Hank Harrison has been challenged

Notice of Conflict of interest noticeboard discussion
[edit]Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard regarding a possible conflict of interest incident in which you may be involved. Thank you. - you are using Harrison's email address on your userpage and when you posted to my talk page denying a close relationship. Dougweller (talk) 06:40, 27 December 2012 (UTC)
Your biography
[edit]Dear Mr. Harrison, there is a procedure for deleting articles that needs to be followed. It is not the case that a subject of a biography can simply say he or she doesn't want to be in wikipedia and then have the article deleted, nor that they get to decide personally what information they want to be in the articles about them. Articles are only deleted if they violate our guidelines and rules for content. Since you are the subject of the article you should not be editing it at all. You can read more about wikipedia's policies for biographies of living persons here: Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons/Help. If you want to have the article deleted without going through the standard procedure, or if you want to challenge particular pieces of information in your biography your best bet is to contact the Wikimedia Foundation's team of volunteers at info-en-q@wikimedia.org, with a link to the page in question and details of the problem.·ʍaunus·snunɐw· 18:33, 27 December 2012 (UTC)
- Also, I have filed a request for an investigation of whether you have previously edited with the account User:Hankbuddha. This request can be found here Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/Stone_Savant.·ʍaunus·snunɐw· 18:50, 27 December 2012 (UTC)
