Speedy deletion nomination of Steven du Bois
[edit]A tag has been placed on Steven du Bois requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 03:44, 29 October 2009 (UTC)
- I can't, as I'm not an admin. Contact this editor, as he was the admin who actually deleted the article. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 06:32, 4 November 2009 (UTC)
File copyright problem with File:31547571-31547576-slarge.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:31547571-31547576-slarge.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Skier Dude (talk) 07:16, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
Copyright issues with your edits
[edit]Hi, I've noticed that you have been adding whole sentences or even paragraphs from other websites into articles. Please be aware that this is something that we are not allowed to do on Wikipedia. The text you have cut and pasted is covered by copyright law and it cannot be used without the permission of the copyright holders.
Could you please go back over your edits and find a way of putting things in your own words. Make sure you don't simply substitute similar words as this can still produce a copyright problem. WP:Close paraphrase gives some guidance on how to do this in a way that does not violate the copyright.
Also please be aware that, because Wikipedia's reputation can be damaged by copyright breaches and in extreme case the Foundation might even be sued, you are likely to be blocked from editing if you do the same thing again. --Peter cohen (talk) 23:13, 25 February 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. Please stop citing your personal website as a source. Personal websites are not considered reliable sources, and the practice of adding links to your own site is considered linkspamming and will result in a block. -- Rrburke (talk) 15:23, 25 April 2010 (UTC)
understood, thanks
