Shaun Reay
[edit]Hi, I've just been making some edits to Shaun Reay, and thought I'd better stop by and explain what I've done. Wikipedia has a Manual of Style which specifies how certain things in artcles should be done. Most of your article complied with it, remarkably well for a first article, particularly with the quality and quantity of referencing (sorry if that sounds patronising, it isn't meant to, most new editors don't bother referencing at all) but there were a couple of things.
MOS:BIO#Subsequent uses of names says that we refer to a person by surname, not first name, so that it sounds more like an encyclopedia and less like we're talking about someone we know; and dates should be written either December 18, 2008 (US-format) or 18 December 2008 (non-US format), not 18th December (however awkward it is not putting the "th"). Also, I've added some "fact" tags; these are where you've put something that isn't actually mentioned in the cited source, like Reay getting the MoM award, or his goal being "an instinctive first time strike". What you'd need to do is find a source that does mention whatever it is, or else reword to something that is backed up by the source.
If there's anything you don't like or don't understand about what I've done, please shout on my talk page. Keep up the good work, cheers, Struway2 (talk) 11:37, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
File copyright problem with File:Shaun Reay 2008.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Shaun Reay 2008.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. –Drilnoth (T • C • L) 23:39, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
The article Ged Dalton has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Article about a footballer who fails WP:GNG and who has not played in a fully pro league.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Telfordbuck (talk) 18:31, 18 December 2012 (UTC)

The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Illia Connell (talk) 23:10, 18 December 2012 (UTC)
