Hi Steve. The above is now at WP:FAC. I would appreciate any comments/support that you may care to offer at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Knowle West, Bristol/archive1. Tx. Jezhotwells (talk) 20:10, 19 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

New Statesman article

[edit]

Excellent article in the New Statesman. I'm always amazed at people who are able to articulate the values of our movement in a way that is both compelling and accessible. I also thought you made some excellent quotations (which I might be stealing for future conversations). Cheers. Kaldari (talk) 09:29, 19 January 2012 (UTC) Your kind words are appreciated Steve Virgin (talk) 00:21, 15 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You are invited to the Bristol Wiki Meetup which will take place at The Commercial Rooms, 43-45 Corn Street, Bristol BS1 1HT on Sunday 28 July 2013 from 1.00 pm. If you have never been to one, this is an opportunity to meet other Wikipedians in an informal atmosphere for Wiki and non-Wiki related chat and for beer or food if you like. Experienced and new contributors are all welcome. This event is definitely not restricted just to discussion of Bristol topics. Bring your laptop if you like and use the free Wifi or just bring yourself. Even better, bring a friend! Click the link for full details. Looking forward to seeing you. Hi Steve, hope you are well, I was wondering if you could check my user page and let me know if it is ok, new to this and seeking constructive feedback. Matt Anderson(talk)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
