Maria Tănase

[edit]

Sure thing. By the way, I seem to remember she used to sing this song, Du-mă-acasă, măi tramvai ("Take Me Home, Hey You Tramcar", would be an approximate translation). It's a really wonderful song -- I searched for the lyrics, and I found them here. Would there be a recording of her singing that song? If so, I think it may be worth mentioning. (The song was probably better popularized by Gică Petrescu; I think it's listed in the article on him as Căsuţa noastră ("Our Little House", which is where the tram is supposed to go), but I'm not quite sure it's the same song.) Wayne Wells

[edit]

So there I was, tidying up Wells (disambiguation) and eventually got down to Wayne. Clicking on the link redirected me to Wayne Static, but I was puzzled to see no mention of Wayne Wells. So I went Googleing, and added some references. Then I came across a reference that suggested I read the talk page! I wish that had been the first reference I came across!! So now I've added a hidden comment into the page warning editors to read the talk page BEFORE starting edits. Cheers, Pdfpdf (talk) 06:13, 5 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well thank you. That was nice of you, and I appreciate it. Cheers, Pdfpdf (talk) 11:02, 16 January 2008 (UTC) [reply]

RE: Static X

[edit]

I have read SX' talk page and couldn't find any good reason not to include nu-metal. A band can be industrial AND nu-metal. On the other hand, I could find plenty of sources stating they are nu-metal (as well as industrial metal). Just like Slipknot, Disturbed, Korn, System of a Down, Coal Chamber, etc (which are very different bands), they are regarded nu-metal by the press. I don't see why it has to be discussed, this is an open and shut case. Kameejl (Talk) 13:19, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,

Will you please check the article? According to the article Turkey is a part of the Western world, but not so Romania and Bulgaria.--79.116.53.253 (talk) 08:20, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Static-X

[edit]

I've seen that you have been involved with the issue of Static-X being mislabeled as nu metal before, and once again some users are trying to change their genre to nu metal, if you could assist in the matter and discussion, it would be much appreciated.Mogthetormentor (talk) 02:39, 31 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Europe 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:09, 7 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
