Why your articles are getting deleted

Hi. Wikipedia articles need to be more than just a line or two; they need to be about something notable, and what they say needs to be verifiable from reliable sources. Reliable sources and notability

According to your note at Talk:Intelligence, Surveilance Society, you were going to get information from the organization. There are several problems with this:

  • If there is no information available from reliable third-party sources, it indicates that the organization is not notable according to WP:NOTE. Also, self-sourced material fails WP:RS, Wikipedia's policy on reliable sourcing, as well as WP:V verifiability. Categories in userspace

I've removed categories from the cut/paste Wikipedia help articles in your userspace, as only the main article should appear in the category. In general, it's simpler to just link to the main articles, ensuring that it's up-to-date. There's no reason to keep them in userspace unless you're working on a rewrite to those policies. About your RfA...

It will fail, if you choose to continue with it. 99.9% of admin candidates have at least 4000 edits and have been actively editing for at least 6 months. Not to say that you won't ever become an admin, but you should understand what they do and get more experience, first. /ƒETCHCOMMS/ 00:26, 16 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Stephenj642. I noticed you created a Requests for Adminship page some time ago; I was wondering as to what the status of that request might be. I think it's fair to warn you that new users are rarely successful at RfA and that the Wikipedia editing community sets very high standards for editors running for adminship. That being said, I strongly urge you to read Wikipedia:Guide to requests for adminship, User:Davidwr/Administration is not for new users, and Wikipedia:Not now, and ask you to reconsider whether you really do wish to go through with your candidacy; please understand that you stand very little to no chance of passing RfA at this point and that you are strongly discouraged from running for adminship. If you are still intent on running for adminship with that request and are absolutely positive this is what you want, please do let me know; otherwise, I'll go ahead and delete the RfA page for you in about a week or so from today.
