Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Steinbke1316, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Elysia and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Hi @Steinbke1316:, I have undone your edits to Talk:Sports injury. There are several reasons why this was necessary.

  • You attempted to place an article on the article's talk page rather than make edits to the article itself. There is a difference between "Talk:Sports injury" and Sports injury. Refresh on what a talk page is here.
  • If you had edited the correct page, you would have done a blanket copy paste over all the article's contents. Please visit (or revisit) this mandatory student training on how to edit existing pages [1]. A key point of the training, however, is that it explicitly states Never copy and paste your draft over the entire article. Instead, edit small sections at a time, replacing only content that you've changed.
  • None of the content was cited correctly. Please view this training on adding citations.

Wikipedia is a community with rules that you must follow if you wish to contribute here. We took the time to create these trainings so that students can have the best possible chance of success to engage with Wikipedia and make successful edits. Please do not attempt to make that same edit again. Thanks, Elysia (Wiki Ed) (talk) 00:58, 7 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
