Looks like you are into trains. There is a WikiProject devoted to UK trains - WP:UKT. If you wish to join simply add your name to the members list. Mjroots (talk) 15:22, 29 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Category pages

[edit]

Hi, I have reverted this edit of yours for several reasons: (i) the first line ([[Category:Beeching closures in England]]) puts the category into itself, which creates an infinite loop, so should never be done; (ii) to add pages to a category, you should edit the relevant page (ie Barcombe Mills railway station and Isfield railway station) to have the category near the bottom with the other categories, like this; (iii) comments/questions about the categories should be put on the category's discussion page, ie Category talk:Beeching closures in England. Thanks. --Redrose64 (talk) 15:34, 1 January 2011 (UTC) Noted with thanks --Brian aka [[Steamybrian (talk) 18:45, 1 January 2011 (UTC)]][reply]

More Beeching closures

[edit]

Hi, further to the above, I have also reverted this edit, also the similar one for Suffolk. Not all closed stations in these counties were due to the Beeching report; also, on the Suffolk one, you forgot the important word "Category:", so instead of categorising the template, it's tried to link to the non-existent article Beeching closures in England. --Redrose64 (talk) 23:26, 1 January 2011 (UTC) In trying to link to one station I may of ended up linking the whole of Norfolk and Suffolk...! What I was trying to do was checking and adding as required the intermediate stations closed in 1966 between Ipswich and Norwich to your list of Beeching closure. My apologies for the inconvenience ... Brian [[Steamybrian (talk) 19:28, 2 January 2011 (UTC)]][reply]

Imberhorne North

[edit]

There most definitely is a halt at Imberhorne North. See Heritage Railway issue 144 (current) and also mentioned at this webpage. Mjroots (talk) 20:18, 8 January 2011 (UTC) I agree that Heritage Railway no. 144 page 7 and the photographic web site both mention "Imberhorne North" however it is merely the temporary end of the track at the "tip face" until the cutting is excavated and the line connected through. The web site photographs you mentioned actually shows the end of the line at Imberhorne North but no station or platform. Finally if you have evidence that it exists then please show me a photo of " Imberhorne North" ?????? [[Steamybrian (talk) 22:02, 8 January 2011 (UTC)]][reply]

Cuckoo Line

[edit]

Re your recent edit, please do not sign in article space. Do you have a reference for that information? Personally, I feel it would be better under "History" instead of "Accidents", see Talk:Cuckoo Line. Mjroots (talk) 17:41, 20 January 2011 (UTC) The information appears in the article under "Hailsham railway station". Please transfer the information to "History" instead of "Accidents" if you wish.[[Steamybrian (talk) 19:44, 20 January 2011 (UTC)]][reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
