WP:PSEUDOHEAD

[edit]

Hi. I don't know if you've ever been told directly, but bold is preferred over semicolons for screen readers, and WP:PSEUDOHEAD says not to use semicolons to bold as a subheading. It has been this way for several years now. Although bold markup should not be overused, it is preferred over semicolons per the guideline. I just saw your edit on Thank U, Next where you changed "Notes" from a third-level heading to a semicolon one and thought you should know. Ss112 08:20, 24 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Template:Duration

[edit]

Hello again. Just saw your edit on Dignity (Hilary Duff album). I don't know who removed the info either but I also saw you re-added uses of Template:Duration, whereas the template's documentation states it's for use inside infoboxes. It's not meant for use outside of those templates. Ss112 22:01, 21 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Just a note

[edit]

In this edit you removed commas following full dates, and, per MOS:DATEFORMAT, that's wrong. It states A comma follows the year unless followed by other punctuation that replaces the comma. Just thought I'd point this out to you. livelikemusic talk! 12:47, 1 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Noting this again, as I've noticed you keep removing commas from dates, despite it being in-violation of the noted manual of style again! Just a kind note once again. livelikemusic talk! 01:12, 1 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Surprise

[edit]

Status!!!! Are you back?? I thought you had retired for good. I am so thrilled to see one of Wikipedia's finest back editing again! How are you?? Goveganfortheanimals (talk) 00:44, 15 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi

Appreciate your retirement, but as an interested party I have to inform you. Chaosdruid (talk) 11:56, 23 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Step Back in Time: The Definitive Collection

[edit]

Hi. Sorry that you probably didn't know as I didn't link it anywhere yet, but Step Back in Time: The Definitive Collection was created before you made Step Back in Time (album). The article I made is also the proper title per iTunes and her official website. I can ask an admin to histmerge them if you want, if you want your subsequent edits in the page history. Also, I hope you don't really mind, but I nominated your file for deletion (with Template:Orfud) as it's no longer used and is a bigger file (over 50 kB more) than the one I uploaded. Ss112 01:27, 2 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Anthony Appleyard: Do you think this is a case worth histmerging, or are they parallel histories? Step Back in Time: The Definitive Collection and Step Back in Time (album). Ss112 01:07, 2 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please discuss contentious page moves

[edit]

Singular: Act I and Act II with colons have been in place for quite a while. It's not straight-forward, as Carpenter has used colons, and online sources are, at best, not consistent. Most I have seen use colons. Please open move discussions, as your moves have been reverted. Also, I am still confused as to how you say you are "retired" but you're still editing quite a lot and creating articles. Usually when an editor retires, that means they don't edit anymore...this is confusing to other users. I have also seen admins ask this question of users who still actively edit. Turning redirects into dab pages

[edit]

Thank you for creating disambiguation pages when they’re needed (such as All the Hits Live). Please be sure no article links are left pointing to the dab page once you’ve created it. One tool that can help with that is DisamAssist.

Also, if you need to link directly to a dab page (such as in a hatnote), use the name of the page with " (disambiguation)" appended to it. (See WP:INTDABLINK). If that redirect doesn’t exist, running DisamAssist will create it. Happy editing! — Gorthian (talk) 01:54, 9 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Why did you nominate the above article as a WP:CSD#G3 (hoax)? On its face, it is a bona fide article. Normally, when such an article is tagged as a hoax, the tagger explains the tagging on the Talk page. You did not. Furthermore, as a user above asked you in June, why do you keep Retired tags on this page and your userpage? You clearly are not retired. Please remove them.--Bbb23 (talk) 00:07, 13 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Seconded, being the one who made the original comment in June. You have made plenty of edits this month and this year, Status, you're not retired whatsoever. Ss112 15:21, 25 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Bbb23: I have looked further into it and determined Misdemeanor is a hoax album. There are no Google search results for it other than on Genius, which is a WP:USERG website anyway. Perhaps Status didn't go about tagging it the right way, but the album does not appear to exist so I have nominated it for deletion. The user who made it appears to have made other hoaxes as well. Replacing references with bare URLs

[edit]

I have no idea why you felt the need to replace Spotify references with iTunes links here (they're both e-commerce sites, and you will find one is not considered better than the other in the eyes of most editors here), and replacing them with bare URLs at that. This was not an improvement. I have restored those references and tagged the article for the plethora of bare URLs you added to it.

Also, when you upload images, like File:Cassie - Me and U.png, please provide a source. Relying on the template to cover you and say it "can be obtained from the record label" is lazy and doesn't help other editors verify that where you got it from is reliable or that it is indeed the "original cover", as you claim. Thank you. Ss112 15:21, 25 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The original cover of "Me & U"

[edit]

Would not appear to be the one you recently uploaded. I believe, from searching around, that the cover you uploaded is a digital cover only available on iTunes and a promo copy (https://www.discogs.com/Cassie-MeU/release/699964). The actual original cover, the CD single cover that all main versions display on Discogs, is the other: https://www.discogs.com/Cassie-Me-U/master/133622. (iTunes has this cover uploaded under "Me & U – EP", but that's not what the original release shows.) While Discogs is a WP:USERG site, there is no reason to question its legitimacy in this regard as I really don't think someone went around and doctored a bunch of international releases of Cassie's "Me & U" single cover. The version you uploaded cannot be considered the original or main cover if the only place it is available is on iTunes. If you disagree, please discuss any changes to the main image displayed; I have moved the cover you uploaded to the "alternative" cover box per what I have just explained. Copy Edit request

[edit]

Hello Status, I have been working on expanding an article on the 1989 experimental film Begotten for a while now, and I have recently gotten it up to GA status. My goal is to get it up to FA status as soon as possible, however, it requires some copy editing done to it before I can nominate it. I was wondering if you would be able to perform the necessary copy edits to it so I can get the ball rolling for FA nomination. Please let me know as soon as possible if you are or are not able to do it.--Paleface Jack (talk) 19:13, 30 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Request for help: Peer review

[edit]

Hi there, Status! I've just submitted an article for peer review for the first time. I saw your name on the list of peer review volunteers for music and because on your diverse contributions to discographies, albums, tours, and artists, I thought you might be a perfect fit for the questions I have for the article! Is there any chance you have fifteen minutes to take a look?

Here's a link, if you do! Peer review for Stanford Fleet Street Singers
