We hardly shop at Future Shop due to the lack of actual sales they have. :P Wal-Mart's entertainment and electronics has little to offer, their products are less than great quality (some, at least) and the prices are only a few pennies lower than other stores. The Black Friday sales here are actually meh... —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 02:00, 1 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A message to all my talk page stalkers

[edit]

As you have probably seen, I have been pretty inactive for the past while. I have a few reasons for that. First, mid-term exams rolled around, followed by Christmas shopping and decorating, and this past week I've been pretty ill. It's nothing major; I'm just feeling complete shit. Typical long-term head cold.

Anyways, with everything going on and only a week and a half left of school until Christmas, I am going to take a short break from Wikipedia to focus on my studies and this upcoming holiday season. I will probably be back on or around the 21st of December, and if not I will certaintly be back by the new year.

Happy editing!

And if I don't talk to anyone of you by then, I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and have a happy new year!

HI, I need your help with something....there is this user, User:Dan56, he does not to seem to understand that Love On Top was not released as a digital download in the UK in December....it was just rumored, but it never ended up getting released...its not on amazon uk nor itunes uk...nor any other country....you said once that singles should be released by THEMSELVES with "- Single" at the end of them on Amazon and/or iTunes, and also have a CD single release. Love On Top does NOT have any of that. Yet, he keeps reverting my edits....can you please explain to him.

Agree with most of your points. But then again I have a feeling Madge is hungry this time. I mean, Super Bowl, appearances, collabos, record deals... she wasn't this active during the Hard Candy era. I think Madge was just waiting to end all her deals from Warner and is looking for a fresh start. The pairing with Interscope is good since its one of the intelligent record labels. I beleive she is going for a commercial sound, but including her appeal in it. Let's face it, although the demo wasn't good, I couldn't help but ignore that the hook was extreeeeemly catchy "Don't play this stupid game coz I'm a different kinda gorl". I think the album would start mainstream, then gradually segue into non-mainstream and end with ballads like "Masterpiece". Reminds me of the tracklist for Music. — Legolas (talk2me) 11:44, 16 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Let's keep our fingers crossed. She's been really looking fab, fresh these days. Something changed in her. And well, well, I'm going to watch W.E. next week. I can't wait for it anymore. Masterpiece sounds like a wonderful title for the album, though it won't be I'm 100% sure. Do you remember who shot the artwork? Lol, all I know is that it was pretty 80s inspired. Hope its not like Rir's cover for "We Found Love" looking like a rag doll. :P — Legolas (talk2me) 13:08, 16 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Why...

[edit]

... Why is "Love on Top" being considered as a single? Jivesh1205 (Talk) 06:38, 19 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Where? In the UK? Since when is UK counting airplay while compiling its charts? Jivesh1205 (Talk) 11:35, 19 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
LOT is not a single. How on earth is it possible that it is not even C-listed by BBC? Not even C-listed? Jivesh1205 (Talk) 11:43, 19 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Do you think LOT is a single? I don't think so. Beyonce is pregnant since March and she will deliver this month. Can you believe she was pregnant in RTW? Hmm, for the template... I did not really understand that... Why should we use that template? About the tour, it is rumored to start in April 2012 but i feel that it is very unlikely. She has to take care of the baby. Beyonce has readied a 19-minute long video for RTW. It was uploaded today by a user but it got snatched by her label in less than 30 minutes. It had a story. Jivesh1205 (Talk) 11:54, 19 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
4 in my opinion is her best album but it is also the worst handled one. I cannot wait for her to lay the golden egg. I still cannot believe the Grammy snubbed her so hard? Did you know about the Twitter uproar that surrounded it? And that MTV article saying that the Grammy Committee thins that Beyonce has had too many Grammy Awards. Jivesh1205 (Talk) 12:13, 19 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I totally agree for OTF. I sincerely believe it should have been nominated for ROTY instead of one song of that rock ban. Lol. They even snubbed "1+1"... Joke of the millennium. Which album? Please let me know. At least give me a hint. Perhaps my guess is right. Jivesh1205 (Talk) 12:21, 19 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Oh yes. And her red colored wigs. Joke of 2011. May I say the biggest one? Lol. See you later. Be a good boy at school. Lol. Jivesh1205 (Talk) 12:36, 19 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It's Loud, right? Lol. Jivesh1205 (Talk) 05:17, 20 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I cannot understand why it was nominated. Jivesh1205 (Talk) 17:02, 20 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Does that mean you think that EOT and IWH will not b singles? Jivesh1205 (Talk) 17:14, 20 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I know about the new music. Lol. Never knew that you love B so much. EOT video was supposed to be shot in Brazil. But Beyonce was already 5 months pregnant and at the last minute, she was not able to execute the heavy choreography properly. So, it is rumored it has a studio video. Videos have been shot for "Schoolin' Life", "I was Here" and "End of Time". I hope you know about the 19-minute long video for RTW that that Columbia is hiding? Jivesh1205 (Talk) 17:20, 20 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Happy to know that. So you like the dance songs-singing Beyonce? What about B'Day? Hey I simply love "Best Thing I Never Had", "Schoolin' Life" and "I Miss You"? Jivesh1205 (Talk) 18:55, 20 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
You seem to be a big fan of that album. Do you like "Single Ladies"? Jivesh1205 (Talk) 18:59, 20 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Funhouse/FSC Tour

[edit]

There isn't anything to say these tours are one in the same. This is not an extension and the boxscores were never linked together. No boxscore was ever released for FSCT, just the overall summary. It was not lumped together with the total from FT. In the FSCT article, there was a link (obviously dead now) where Pink stated the tour was something new, exact phrase was "i'm not going to redo my last tour, I've broken records with that one so that's done". That was the basis for two separate articles. (I'm currently searching to see if her fans somehow obtained the audio for the interview). Seeing clips of the show, there was nothing in common with FT besides have "Funhouse" in the title. Itsbydesign (talk) 11:39, 27 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Love on Top

[edit]

Hi Zach. What do you think about LOT? A single or not? I can tell you for sure that it has not been sent to radios in the US. Hmm, the award for the worst management goes to... Need I say that? Lol. Anyway, how are you? Jivesh1205 (Talk) 18:38, 28 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I think you are right. I am fine, thank you. My Christmas, well to be frank, it was boring. And yours? Jivesh1205 (Talk) 04:34, 29 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Lol, that's so funny (the way you wrote it). And I got nothing (from my parents). Lol. Jivesh1205 (Talk) 04:47, 29 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Really? I mean Santa does not exists, right? Lol, why are you being so mysterious? Jivesh1205 (Talk) 04:50, 29 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Well about the Santa Stuff. Lol. I have to go. Gonna be busy today. Take care. Jivesh1205 (Talk) 04:56, 29 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

LOT should be fourth single. Not third. I mean all sources confirm "Countdown" as third. Jivesh1205 (Talk) 06:38, 29 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

But you know that a radio release in Italy is not like releasing something as a single. It does not count airplay. I think we should try to find a source which states that LOT is a UK single, to be more specific, a source which associates it directly to the word single. What do you say? :) Jivesh1205 (Talk) 06:48, 29 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Well, she did it simply because she was in Australia at that time. And food for your thoughts... in that interview where she sat her large back for so many minutes, couldn't she have said a line about LOT? It is the most stupid thing that an artist can do, travelling to Australia while pregnant and no mentioning LOT even once (if it was released). Jivesh1205 (Talk) 06:53, 29 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Well, how do you explain that the song debuted in Australia immediately after Beyonce's performance at the VMAs? It is very clear to me that LOT is a song which became popular because Beyonce used it to announce her pregnancy. This could have happened to any song Beyonce would have used to announce that she was expecting. For instance, LOT is still charting on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US, though it is not released. Jivesh1205 (Talk) 07:00, 29 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Classic song. I'm a bit busy, but I'll have a quick look at the article tomorrow. I just got back from vacation and need to relax. :) Regarding your FLC, I'm pretty novice (see what I did there) with list articles and I'll wait for further input before I oppose/support. Looks pretty good though. How was your Christmas? —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 01:22, 30 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I got back from Florida. I went to visit my uncle, then headed to Orlando. Did a lot of shopping too. :D —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 01:27, 30 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You are welcome. And yes I know but you are not making maximum use of the sources. Jivesh1205 (Talk) 07:18, 30 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited When I Grow Up (Pussycat Dolls song), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Diddy (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Latin certifications on discographies

I thought this might be of use to you with discographies such as Enrique Iglesias and Shakira. In regards, Erick (talk) 18:12, 30 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

2012 WikiCup

[edit]

Hi! As you've previously expressed interest in the competition, I'm just letting you know that the 2012 WikiCup is due to start in less than 24 hours. Signups are open, and will remain so for a few weeks after the beginning of the competition. The competition itself will follow basically the same format as last year, with a few small tweaks to point costs to reflect the opinions of the community. If you're interested in taking part, you're more than welcome, and if you know anyone who might be, please let them know too- the more the merrier! To join, simply add your name to Wikipedia:WikiCup/2012 signups, and we will be in touch. Please feel free to direct any questions to me, or leave a note on the WikiCup talk page. Thanks! You are receiving this note as you are listed on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. Please feel free to add or remove yourself. J Milburn (talk) 01:44, 31 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for the confusion- you're already signed up (you're not on the signup page as you've been added to the main list, which will go public soon), but a glitch in the newsletter system meant that you were sent the above note anyway! You'll be getting a message tomorrow with a welcome note and an explanation of a few points. As ever, you know where I am if you have any questions. Sorry! J Milburn (talk) 01:54, 31 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, alright. Thanks! Can't wait! Status {talkcontribs 01:57, 31 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to the 2012 WikiCup

[edit]

Hello, and welcome to the 2012 WikiCup! The competition officially begins at the start of 2012 (UTC) after which time you may begin to claim points. Your submission page, where you must note any content for which you wish to claim points, can be found here, and formatting instructions can be found in hidden comments on the page. A bot will then update the main table, which can be seen on the WikiCup page. The full rules for what will and will not be awarded points can be found at Wikipedia:WikiCup/Scoring. There's also a section on that page listing the changes that have been made to the rules this year, so that experienced participants can get up-to-date in a few seconds. One point of which we must remind everyone; you may only claim points for content upon which you have done significant work, and which you have nominated, in 2012. For instance, articles written or good article reviews started in 2011 are not eligible for points.

This round will last until late February, and signups will remain open until the middle of February. If you know of anyone who may like to take part, please let them know about the comeptition; the more the merrier! At the end of this round, the top 64 scorers will progress to the next round, where their scores will reset, and they will be split into pools. Note that, by default, you have been added to our newsletter list; we will be in contact at the end of every month with news. You're welcome to remove yourself from this list if you do not wish to hear from us. Conversely, those interested in following the competition are more than welcome to add themselves to the list. Please direct any questions towards the judges, or on the WikiCup talk page. Good luck! J Milburn (talk) and The ed17 (talk) 17:56, 31 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
