Stubs

[edit]

Hallo, Please note that stub tags all go at the bottom of the article, not the top (see WP:ORDER), and please take care not to add {{stub}} to an article like Megalorhipida angusta which already has a specific stub tag. Thanks. PamD 19:45, 9 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Noted and corrected, thank you! Standardwikiman (talk) 21:24, 9 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not introduce inappropriate pages, such as Draft:State of Malinovia, to Wikipedia. Doing so is considered to be vandalism and is prohibited. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Under section G3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, the page has been nominated for deletion. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. creffett (talk) 00:07, 11 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome templates

[edit]

Just a heads up -- welcome templates for new users belong on their talk pages, not their user pages. You should fix your edits to User:Siddique01678 and User:Kimchaem. ----Fabrictramp | talk to me 19:35, 11 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Fabrictramp: Silly me, I missed that! I thank you for letting me know! Standardwikiman (talk) 22:43, 11 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

National varieties of English

[edit]

Information icon Hello. In a recent edit to the page Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.

For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, or Pakistan use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the original author of the article used.

In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. Sorry this is probably quite annoying when you have put a lot of work into fixing apparent errors, unfortunately it's just how it works :) MPS1992 (talk) 17:36, 19 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

November 2019

[edit]
To clarify: you share with ADillon1 an interest in obscure topics such as Draft:Suicidal Wedding and Draft:Malinovia ("Malinovia" apparently – according to nonsense such as this – being an invention of a schoolboy named Aydan Dillon, a topic on which ADillon1 has also written at length). There doesn't seem to be any scope to believe that you are not the same person. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 22:40, 1 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:First Bite, a page you created, has not been edited in 5 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 01:38, 26 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
