Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Human Heights

I'd like to add that the CDC is a government source, but the extra source I gave uses the same studies the CDC used in their calculation. The difference is that the CDC is the largest distributor of this information. ALL of this sources use the NHES and NHANES studies that have been taken since 1954. So, I'd like it if you'd add back the two heights you took out of the original list, please. I'd also like to second the power above and remind you that when you make comments you have to sign your name, and to do that you simply click on the button at the top of each talk page that looks like a signature. I'm not interested in adding the state heights, but I'm not sure why we can't show both the NHES and NHANES numbers for height. That's only two sources. South Korea and Japan both have three and two respectively as do a few others. --Criticalthinker (talk) 04:45, 21 January 2009 (UTC)

Oh, I thought I'd let you know that in my searches, this early morning, I've come across the latest numbers published by the CDC for American heights (October 2008). They aren't much different, but I thought you may be interested in seeing them, and it means we could actually update the current CDC numbers in the chart. --Criticalthinker (talk) 08:32, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

BTW, I thought I'd ask you about adding the four major racial categories for South Africa, it being a multi-ethnic nation. The actual source for the height includes all three (SADHS, see page 14). I'd like to split it by ethnicity since there is such an incredibly disparity in height between a few of the groups (whites tower 177 cm). On the Indonesian one, I'd leave it, because it's the only country-wide number we have for that nation, which is better than no number. The other number for Indonesia is simply for East Bali, a tiny part of the country both in area and population. But, what od you think of the South African numbers?
