Dear Reviewer (Nolelover) , Thanks for providing your feedback. Sri Paturi Sitaramajaneyulu is an Oriental Scholar in Sanskrit and Telugu , Linguist and a researcher . Knew many other languages. He has more than 85 published works in Telugu. Some of which are referred in some web sites. I will try to refer those. But most of his works are not on line. Not sure how I can prove or provide a source. I would give the publishing house number and address which published most of his works. The biographic information is what I gathered from one of his books. Which is again a hard copy. I have made a reference to that. Other than that I am not sure how else to provide you the information. I am sure once this page is published , many of the who had association with him will come forward to contribute to the page. I just want to give it a head start.

Article improvement suggestions

[edit]

Hi Sri! Here are some suggestions for you regarding your article. I do hope you'll take them as constructive insight - it serves as helping you grow as a Wikipedian :)

  1. There are spaces between words and commons, make sure you remove that space. For example, in the lede: "Srivishnu Sahasranama Bhashyam , Srividya Vishaya Kosam , His research work on Siva mahimna sthavam and several others."
  2. Also, in that sentence, "His" should be lowercase ("his") since you aren't starting a new sentence.
  3. The family section should be one paragraph. It should state read like one simple paragraph. For example, Jackson_Miles_Abbott#Early_life_and_military_service, you can see there it's just one paragraph. So, remove "Parents:" "Wife:" and "Siblings Name:". I would just state something like "Sitaramanjaneyulu was born in India to Paturi Venkatanarayana and Paturi Subbamma. he had five siblings." The name of his wife, unless she is famous, is not that important and therefore doesn't need to be in the article.
  4. The education section should again, be one paragraph, not a list. You can generally blend this and family into one paragraph, see an example, here: John_Merton_Aldrich#Life_and_education. It should read more like "Sitaramanjaneyulu earned his degree in (whatever) from (whatever university) in (whatever year) before going on to earn his MA in (whatever) from (whatever) in (whatever year)."
  5. In the influence section, again, just create one paragraph. Something reading more along the lines of "He found influence the work of Chandrashekarendra Saraswati."
  6. His published works should read more like a traditional bibliography, for example: John_Merton_Aldrich#Further_reading. Right now it just looks like a big long list of things and as someone who is not from India, it makes no sense to me. Keep in mind we write Wikipedia for the world to use, so think about an American like me who has never been to India and doesn't know anything about this person trying to understand what he did :)
  7. Remove the publishers of the above works. As with that "further reading" section I shared with you, the NAME only should be listed, we don't need their address.

I hope this helps! And of course, if you need additional assistance, you can stop by the Teahouse for help! Thanks again for your efforts!

Sarah, Thanks a lot for taking time to review my article. I will definitely make changes according to your suggestions. Sitaramanjaneyulus’s wife, though not famous is a very important person in his life. Most of the people who knew him in person know his wife and her influence on his works. So I would like to mention a few lines about her. Regarding the references and citations could you please confirm that what I got so far are acceptable to make the article public. Thanks Sri pusuluri (talk) 16:08, 19 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Nolelover, Currently I am working on editing the article as Sarah suggested on my talk page. Working in my sandbox for now. As far as the reference go , I did put “Nenu Choosina Mahathmulu, Article by Samavedam Shanmukha Sarma (in Telugu) , Rushipeetam Magazine (Valume No:13 , Issue No:5) , Dec 2011.” This article is completely about Paturi Sitaramanjaneyulu, his knowledge quest, humble personality, his research works and books.
“Mahapanditulu Paturi Kannumoota”, Telugu new paper Varta, Dec 30 2007, page 18. – This was a news post about his death , which talks about his profile.
“Prathiba Purskaram for year 2002:http://www.sdctbheemili.org/sree_ramanavami_prathibha_puraskaram.php” This link is listing him as the awardee for the year 2002.
http://www.giirvaani.net/giirvaani/skka/skka_intro.htm” This link talks about one of his works , Sri Krishna karunamrutham , which is a work of historical linguistics which contains a lot of details about birthplace of the poet, showing evidence from rock edicts, temple-wall-scribings, findings of archeologists etc.

Please let me know if these are acceptable as reliable sources. I will try to find more in the meantime and edit the article. Thanks for your review and help in bringing this article into wikipedia Sri pusuluri (talk) 08:33, 20 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The newspaper and magazine articles sound reliable, and the awards looks good, but I'm not sure about http://www.giirvaani.net/giirvaani/skka/skka_intro.htm. That one doesn't seem like a source you want to use a lot :( Nolelover Talk·Contribs 21:53, 20 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

With the three sources I have will this article be accepted ? I will move the other links to extranal links or more to read. I will also work on refining the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sri pusuluri (talkcontribs)

Well, it really depends on what is in the article. Like I said, those three sources sounds good, although you might still want one or two more to really give yourself some leeway (especially since reviewers can't see the two articles, unless you can find them online). Go ahead and work on the article, add more independent sources if possible and when you're done let me know and I'll look it over. Does that sound good? Nolelover Talk·Contribs 14:27, 21 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds good. One more question. Can I use reviews by other notable people on his work, as sources. One of them is a letter written by a very notable person in the telugu literary world. This letter is a review on "Gayatri Suprabhatham" and published as it is in a later edition of Gayatri Suprabhatham. Aslo there are few other reviews by a notable person in archeology department on Paturi's "Sivamahimna stavam". This is also published in the book. Can I use these as sources too?

NOTE: The other two sources which are not online, I have copies of those in pdf format and img format. Sri pusuluri (talk) 20:04, 22 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Those sound good, although again, without seeing them I can't tell for sure. By the way, could you email me the pdf and the image? It would be very helpful. My email is noleloveronwp@yahoo.com. Thanks, Nolelover Talk·Contribs 20:22, 22 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have sent you those files via email. Nole , Did you get my email with the files please let me know. If you did not I will resend them I am also working on gathering the other documents discussed(reviews). Sri pusuluri (talk) 15:22, 25 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I did. Sorry about that. I've just been a little busy lately, so I can't work on it right now. Nolelover Talk·Contribs 19:15, 25 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sarah, I have included reliable sources as listed below. Also provided copies of those to one of the previous reviewers. If you want I can send the copies to you too. But they are all in Telugu.

"Srividya Vishakosam , published Tagore Publishing House, Kachiguda, Hyderabad, year 2003 [12]

“Mahapanditulu Paturi Kannumoota”, Telugu new paper Vaartha, Dec 30 2007, page 18"
