Cellists
Just in case you're thinking of adding all categories "Fooian classical cellists" directly into Category:Classical cellists – please don't; they're already in the appropriate intervening category of Category:Classical cellists by nationality, and these categories are all part of a larger scheme of classical music categories. - Thanks for your note. The category system has its limitations, unfortunately, and there isn't a way to do what you want on Wikipedia at present. Wikinews has a different version of the software running, which includes Dynamic Page List: see n:DynamicPageList. This enables you to generate a page on demand showing the articles in one or more categories e.g.
<DynamicPageList> category=Africa category=Politics and conflicts </DynamicPageList>
- If enabled on Wikipedia, then we could have Category:Cellists, Category:Russian people and Category:Classical musicians and combine them on the fly to get a list of Russian classical cellists. But it isn't, and the noises made about introducing it have died down. Unless and until it is, alas... Regards, BencherliteTalk 17:38, 9 March 2010 (UTC)
