Spencer Douglass

[edit]

The article Spencer Douglass has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Pascal.Tesson 19:19, 3 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Mill House Hotel

[edit]

A {{prod}} template has been added to the article The Mill House Hotel, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. Pascal.Tesson 19:19, 3 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:Ff comics logo URL.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Ff comics logo URL.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 10:07, 21 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I assume you are Spencer Douglass, the Business Development Manager of Fluid friction comics, so starting the article is something that will cause concern. It looks to meet notability so I'll see what I can do make sure it doesn't get deleted but if you plan on continuing to edit connected articles here you should read through the conflict of interest and neutrality guidelines. If you have any questions then ask away. (Emperor (talk) 15:24, 23 June 2008 (UTC))[reply]

We can get someone to look over the image licensing for you as it is a minefield (vast numbers of images have been deleted for not dotting the "i"s and crossing the "t"s - including quite a few of the ones I added).
The problem with the conflict of interest guidelines is that you are discouraged from starting an article on your own company and the strictest parts say you can't link to your own site (which you've done, and there is no wiggle room). I'll put the link back in if it is removed and will see what I can do to keep the article (it could, in theory, be deleted because you started it). The biggest help you can provide is by adding in as much of the news coverage as possible as that'll improve its chances of being kept. (Emperor (talk) 13:24, 25 June 2008 (UTC))[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Devashard Book-1 Cover.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Devashard Book-1 Cover.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:11, 21 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Devashard Book-1 Cover.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 06:13, 28 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Spencer Douglas

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Spencer Douglas, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

no notablity shown, nothing satifying wp:music, no sources

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Fluid Friction Comics. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Fluid Friction Comics. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:10, 14 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Fluid Friction Comics has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable company.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
