Place names in railway station articles
[edit]Hi, I don't know if you're aware, but when describing routes, train destinations, etc. in articles related to railway topics, the convention is to wikilink the relevant station, not the place. So, instead of putting Derby
, we would put Derby
. There is a template called stnlnk
which allows this in shortened form - Derby
is exactly the same as Derby
. Thanks. --Redrose64 (talk) 16:50, 8 September 2011 (UTC)
References
[edit]Your recent edits to Aston railway station have mostly been referenced - thanks for that, this is good practice, but could you please add the relevant page numbers. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for more information. --Redrose64 (talk) 10:09, 9 September 2011 (UTC)
Nechells
[edit]You recently edited Nechells inserting a reference to a book "Bartlam, N. The Litttle Book of Brum. Stroud: The History Press, 2011, p.108." I have these issues: Little is misspelled. There is a book "The Little Book of Birmingham" (not Brom). Please use the author's first name, not just the initial. I encourage you to use the full cite book citation method. See Template:Cite book. —Anomalocaris (talk) 07:30, 30 November 2011 (UTC)
