Hi SparkleMan. It's apparent from your contributions that you are not entirely new to Wikipedia, so it may be wise to link this username to your primary account to avoid unwarranted accusations. Otherwise, please feel free to privately message one of the administrators (myself included) and verify your identity, so that we can vouch for you should any unpleasantness arise. Hi, sorry my page was protected - had a bit of annoying vandalism today, wanted to give people a break from reverting my talkpage! Please feel free to leave a message now :) Riana (talk) 13:57, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
OK, that's fine, as long as there's a reasonable explanation :) Welcome back to editing again! Riana (talk) 13:59, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That's the problem with protection - blocks the good 'uns out too :) Riana (talk) 14:03, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ladonav

[edit]

The pattern of vandalism seems like a prank (or may be a test) rather than any serious harm. Thats why I am inclined to give him a second chance. I have the guy on my radar. Indef awaits him the moment he vandalizes on return.

If you feel otherwise, I am of course open to other ideas. --soum talk 13:51, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, its my pleasure. :) --soum talk 14:02, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Creating Accounts

[edit]

If someone creates an account that is basically the same as the orginal should I do something? Put a sockpuppet notice or something? See here.

Wikipedia does not let users create accounts that are similar to existing ones. If they are unable to create the account they want, they should visit Wikipedia:Request an account, and ask for an account to be made, but accounts which are similar to existing ones are not made if the existing user is active. Stwalkerster talk 16:45, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Did you mean about the WP:ACC request Casey Andrews? Because my understanding is that it should just be created for the requester, even though we have no way of verifying the claim, it has made no edits since it was created a while ago.
Yeah, I see what you mean, but I'd just keep an eye on those accounts and what they do for a few days, cos it'll probabally come to nothing. By the way, what did you mean when you said 'lets leave this open' on the account request - Cometstyles has replaced the similar bit. Stwalkerster talk 16:59, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

{{helpme}}

I currently have Twinkle but how do you report username violations with it? Do I have the right code in my monobook.js? If not, what code should I use? SparkleMan

importScript('User:AzaToth/twinklearv.js'); should work. Another thing, you may want to check out this page. Thanks, « ANIMUM » 23:29, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I'm glad you are interested in reporting users with Twinkle. To report a user, go to his/her userpage or talk page, click on the tab that says "arv" on the top, click where it says "vandalism", click where it says "username", click on a violation, and click submit. Hope this helps! Yours sincerely, Eddie 23:29, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Great work on WP:UAA! Eddie 23:40, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sandbox

[edit]

Be careful in your reverts: the user you warned hadn't removed the header, and your revert of them restored this back in a widely used sandbox! --Steve (Stephen) talk 23:51, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Toolbar

[edit]

Other people have this bar on there talk or user page so I will have this as well. I will also link the bar up so that it directs to an article called Naked hiking. Its also not your concern (Wonder-Contributor)(<S>)

I also think you user page redirecting into your talk page is also confusing maybe I should revert that (Wonder-Contributor)(<S>)
