Hi. Someone put your image on Lancet surveys of mortality before and after the 2003 invasion of Iraq. I added some notes to the image caption there in order to clarify some things. I will put this page on my watchlist, in order to notice any replies you might make. Any further clarifications would be appreciated.

I am confused by a few things. Can you tell me some more about the men, women, children, and elderly breakdown? I assume the elderly men and women numbers are not double counted in the chart section for men and women?

Also, it looks like you used the same chart for the 2 charts on the right side of the image. The Iraq Body Count project by October 2006 had counted around 45,000 to 50,000 English-media-reported civilian deaths. See:

It looks like Bush deferred to the military. I assume this quote below explains why the 2 charts on the right are the same:

At a separate Pentagon briefing, Gen. George Casey, the top U.S. commander in Iraq, said that the figure "seems way, way beyond any number that I have seen. I've not seen a number higher than 50,000. And so I don't give it that much credibility at all."
