Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. --Ronz (talk) 15:36, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Paramount Group, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of Paramount Group and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.  Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 15:21, 17 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Paramount Group Article Deleted

[edit]

Hi Southwiki. You are certainly welcome to re-submit the article. Just be sure that the new text complies with the guidlines laid out at WP:ADS and WP:MOS. Otherwise, you run the risk of having the article deleted again. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions/concerns or are in need of assistance. -FASTILY (TALK) 22:57, 18 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well, Marauder (Mine Protected Vehicle) doesn't really comply with the standards listed at WP:ADS and WP:MOS so, please make the appropriate fixes after reading those pages. -FASTILY (TALK) 00:16, 19 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits

[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 07:44, 19 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Paramount Group requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Removing Speedy at Paramount Group

[edit]

Hi there Southwiki! I saw that you added a {{hangon}} tag to a page which you created, Paramount Group. This is good, but in the process you removed the tag requesting deletion under CSD A7. Even though there is a hangon on the page, the deletion template should remain there. But don't worry, this doesn't mean that the page is going to get deleted. Make sure you edit the talk page of the page nominated for deletion, located at Talk:Paramount Group, administrators will look at your reason why the page should remain before they decide what to do. Thanks - SDPatrolBot (talk) 16:05, 19 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Paramount Group

[edit]

The article Paramount Group has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Possibly a non-notable company, it doesn't meet notability requirements. Sure that WP:COMPANY and WP:N doesn't meet for the article, it is purely sources that are unreliable.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. I have nominated Paramount Group, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Paramount Group. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. ApprenticeFan talk contribs 22:19, 22 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your revision to this article has been reverted. Please consider the appropriateness of your edits prior to making changes (replacing a picture of the theatre with one of a military vehicle may not have been a constructive edit). Ozdaren (talk) 15:38, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I have nominated this article for speedy deletion as a repost of a previously deleted article, given that the concerns that led to its initial deletion have not yet been addressed.

You wrote, in the original deletion discussion, I do however wish to stipulate that the reason that company is not publicitly written about on notable resources and news related sites is due to them being under closed covers for many many years. But the fact of the matter is that it has not been written about on notable sources, and whatever the reason for that may be, Wikipedia needs all of its information to be based on the very kind of sources that you claimed to be nonexistent.

The current version of the article is almost entirely based on sources controlled by Paramount Group itself. The part that is not is actually not about Paramount Group: it is about the side projects of Ivor Ichikowitz, and even there you only used primary sources. What you need to find are third-party reliable sources. As I stated above, no matter what the reason is why they do not exist, if they don't then we cannot have an article on the group.

Thank you for your understanding. -- Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 16:35, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Matadorminevehicle.JPG

[edit]
File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Matadorminevehicle.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 16:46, 13 September 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Istcol (talk) 16:46, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (File:Paramount-group-logo.jpg)

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Paramount-group-logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. I have nominated Ronnie Apteker, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ronnie Apteker. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Ash (talk) 09:44, 9 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Ronnie Apteker

[edit]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Ronnie Apteker. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ronnie Apteker. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:09, 17 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Jacques-duyver.gif

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Jacques-duyver.gif. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ww2censor (talk) 15:26, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Jacques Duyver, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.surfingincognito.com/index.php?q=aHR0cDovL2VuLndpa2lwZWRpYS5vcmcvd2lraS9Vc2VyOlNvdXRod2lraS9KYWNxdWVzX2R1eXZlcg%3D%3D. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.)

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Speedy deletion of Wiki/Jacques Duyver

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Wiki/Jacques Duyver, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect to an article talk page, file description page, file talk page, MediaWiki page, MediaWiki talk page, category talk page, portal talk page, template talk page, help talk, user page, user talk or special page from the main/article space.

If you can fix the redirect to point to a mainspace page, please do so and remove the speedy deletion tag. However, please do not remove the speedy deletion tag unless you are fixing the redirect. If you think the redirect should be retained as is for some reason, you can request that administrators wait a while before deleting it. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your reasoning on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. DASHBot (talk) 00:00, 29 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Jacques Duyver for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Jacques Duyver is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jacques Duyver until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Pichpich (talk) 20:37, 16 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Only administrators can restore deleted content. You can probably ask any of them but it would make sense to ask Spartaz (talk · contribs) since he's the one who deleted it following the debate mentioned above. Note however that the concerns about Duyver's notability should be addressed before recreating the article. Best, Pichpich (talk) 13:26, 19 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on ITECGROUP, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Cntras (talk) 13:40, 16 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

=Status and Advice

[edit]

As reviewing administrator, I deleted the article. It's essentially an advertisement, directed to promoting the company in PR jargon. Try eliminating adjectives, and never using the word "solutions". It needs to be written like an encyclopedia article, not a press release--don't praise the organization, say what it does.. Don't talk about the overall importance of the subject--talk about what it has accomplished. Remember not to copy from a web site -- first it's a copyright violation, but, even if you give us permission according to WP:DCM, the tone will not be encyclopedic and the material will not be suitable.

For further information see our FAQ about business, organizations, and articles like this and also WP:FIRST.

As a general rule, a suitable page will be best written by someone without Conflict of Interest; it's not impossible to do it properly with a conflict of interest or as a paid press agent, but it's relatively more difficult: you are automatically thinking in terms of the organization wishes to communicate to the public, but an uninvolved person will think in terms of what the public might wish to know.

If you think you can do it right according to our guidelines, do so, but expect the article to be carefully checked for objectivity. This article, and some of your other articles, indicates to me that you will have considerable difficulty in doing this. Hello Southwiki. It has been over six months since you last edited your article submission, entitled Itec Group.

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note, however, that Articles for Creation is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Itec Group}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 22:01, 22 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
