Hello, I'm Davidwr. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to MediaWiki talk:Spam-blacklist/archives/May 2020 have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse. Editing discussion archives is generally frowned upon. It amounts to "changing history." Also, the particular edit[1] makes it look like you want to remove evidence that a particular wb site is not "spammy." Courtesy ping to Praxidicae as it is his comment that you removed. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 21:23, 1 December 2020 (UTC)
Notice of noticeboard discussion

Your username
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Soundcloudlegends", may not comply with our username policy. Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, service, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Foobar Museum of Art". However, you are permitted to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87".
Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, service, or website, regardless of your username. Please also read our paid editing policy and our conflict of interest guideline. If you are a single individual and are willing to contribute to Wikipedia in an unbiased manner, please request a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, choosing a username that complies with our username policy. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Any page related to any business you are engaged in should be considered "off limits." Also, your name suggests that you represent an organization and it suggests that more than one person may be using this account. Both are prohibited. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 21:25, 1 December 2020 (UTC)
Nomination for deletion of Template:Kobenz
[edit]Template:Kobenz has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the entry on the Templates for discussion page. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 21:38, 1 December 2020 (UTC)
This is to both Soundcloudlegends and Notablepeopleandplaces and will be re-posted to both of your user talk pages. Courtesy pings to Rodw and Slykos as your edits are affected as well.
This page Kobenz is for the municipality in Austria.
I have requested that the "edit history" of the page be split and that the edits that deal with the musician be moved to a new page, Draft:Kobenz (musician). PLEASE DO NOT EDIT EITHER PAGE UNTIL THE HISTORY-SPLIT IS COMPLETE. You will know it is complete because the page history of the draft[2] will contain 25-30 edits instead of none. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 21:52, 1 December 2020 (UTC)
- The edits made to Kobenz have been deleted and will not be restored. See User talk:Notablepeopleandplaces#I moved your "user" page. A draft is available for editing at User:Notablepeopleandplaces/sandbox. Please coordinate with User:Notablepeopleandplaces prior to editing or moving that page. Please do not simply "copy" the page, as that will cause problems with legally required attribution. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 23:16, 1 December 2020 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Soundcloudlegends. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page User:Notablepeopleandplaces/sandbox, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. — Jeff G. ツ 03:27, 2 December 2020 (UTC)
