The Saint
[edit]You're welcome.
I feel obligated to tell you though that I've tagged two of the images that you uploaded to Commons for speedy deletion. They are fair use images and unless you own Paramount pictures as well as the music company that released the CD, you don't own the images and have no rights to release them into the public domain as you claim to have done in the image descriptions. You may re-upload them to Wikipedia though, which does allow fair use images, as long as you tag them as being fair use and not public domain. Dismas|(talk) 09:34, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
- Working with images here can be a very daunting task. Like you, I have no problems with code. I get lost in all the licenses and fair use rationales. For the longest time, I just gave up trying to add any images at all unless I took them myself. Even then, I still ran into problems because I was taking pictures of works of art which also aren't allowed on Commons. Dismas|(talk) 10:16, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
Please come to Talk:Martin Luther King, Jr. before again inserting the assertion that King was a Republican; we've discussed this at length, and consensus is that there are no reliable sources backing up the claim -- no voting registration, no family comments (except those that say they don't know), no contemporary anecdotes. --jpgordon::==( o ) 22:26, 25 July 2009 (UTC)
- I see you added this material again. What part of what Jpgordon said is not getting through to you? Stop adding claims that cannot be verified and join the discussion on the talk page. Viriditas (talk) 02:37, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. One of the core policies of Wikipedia is that articles should always be written from a neutral point of view. A contribution you made to Henry Louis Gates, Jr appears to carry a non-neutral point of view, and your edit may have been changed or reverted to correct the problem. Please remember to observe our core policies. Thank you. Viriditas (talk) 02:35, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
- I added crucial information that needs to be posted about the police reports of the incident, that includes the quotes from Mr. Gates. This information was taken from the copy of the police report itself. Without it, it creates a bias about the situation and what actually happened that day, any addition to the police report is acceptable, due to its factual statements.
- We don't rely on primary sources for articles on Wikipedia. We use secondary sources, and we use information that is relevant to the topic. Per discussion on the talk page, we are only using summary style on Henry Louis Gates, Jr. to refer to the main article, Arrest of Henry Gates. You are welcome to join the talk page and discuss your opposition to the consensus on this matter. Viriditas (talk) 02:47, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
- Also, Sophisticatedcat, please be aware of WP:3RR, and be aware that edit warring is defined rather more broadly than that. Good luck!--Wehwalt (talk) 02:53, 26 July 2009 (UTC)

[edit]Please refrain from undoing other people's edits repeatedly. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. Rather than reverting, discuss disputed changes on the talk page. The revision you want is not going to be implemented by edit warring. Thank you. Viriditas (talk) 02:49, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
KItchen Nightmares
[edit]The issue of removing the updates from Kitchen Nightmares was discussed on the show's talk page and consensus was to remove them, and to align the US show article with the UK show article. Discussion is not done via edit summary and "two people have spoken" is meaningless, and does not preclude other edits. Please see the discussion on the show's talk page, and refrain from reverting against consensus. Drmargi (talk) 08:01, 26 August 2009 (UTC)
Please refrain from undoing other people's edits repeatedly, as you are doing at Kitchen Nightmares. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Rather than reverting, discuss disputed changes on the talk page. The revision you want is not going to be implemented by edit warring. Thank you. You may also want to review the procedures for reaching consensus. Drmargi (talk) 01:53, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
- There is currently a consensus on the talk page of the article. Edit summaries do not count toward consensus as it is usually accompanied by edit-warring, which is what you are currently engaging in on Kitchen Nightmares. If you disagree with the removals, you need to discuss it on the article's talk page and gain a consensus there, not edit war and "discuss" in summaries. Thank you. --132 01:58, 31 August 2009 (UTC)

[edit]Hi, I read your comment on my talk page, please be aware of Wikipedia policies regarding civility and in particular WP:NPA. Just looking over your contributions to date, you stand a fair chance of being blocked if your rather strong language were reviewed by an uninvolved admin. I advise you to cut it out and figure out how to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia. Good luck!--Wehwalt (talk) 11:26, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
