Some problems with A.J.P. Taylor based edits

[edit]

Did you make the article edits to The Assassination of Franz-Ferdinand and Causes of World War I citing A.J.P. Taylor using IP address 58-173-52-29? If you did, you should know that the edits included inaccuracies. In the Causes of World War I, the German demand for the fortresses was never made. First, the German Ambassador asked if France would commit to neutrality. When France declined, there was no need to ask for a security guarantee such as the fortresses mentioned in the Bethmann-Hollweg telegram. If these were your edits, could you go back and review what A.J.P. Taylor said and figure out how inaccurate information was put in the articles? Even if these were not your edits, since you have his book, could you double check the German fortress demand error? The main problem on Franz-Ferdinand edits is more complicated to explain so if this was not your edit please ignore it. If it was your edit, then please read the section on Serbia's Byzantine Warning to Austria-Hungary in the article and see if you can reconcile it with what you added to the article. Pasic and others put a lot of disinformation out so its necessary to trace matters back from the summarization historians to the primary sources and to treat statements against interest by the participants as being more reliable than self-serving statements.Werchovsky (talk) 05:27, 7 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You are correct about the WW1 French Fortresses, please see your talk page for my response.

Napoleon's listed at Redirects for discussion

[edit]

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Napoleon's. Since you had some involvement with the Napoleon's redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you wish to do so. — the Man in Question (in question) 20:59, 14 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
