If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Llandegfan Antelope FC requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a club, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that your page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the page be "userfied" or emailed to you. Ben Ben (talk) 20:16, 16 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, FYI this is the consensus about the notability of football teams on wikipedia: Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Notability. According to Anglesey League the clubs there don't compete in a National Cup, here Welsh Cup. Isn't this right?--Ben Ben (talk) 18:16, 17 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Best place to ask football related questions should be here: Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football. There are the top football related writers here on wikipedia.--Ben Ben (talk) 18:21, 17 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Ben, thank you for your help on this and your comments on Peridon's page. You are right in your suggestion regarding the Welsh Cup; however, due to the complex nature of the football pyramid in Wales, this is not a fair reflection of eligibility. The country's football competitions are split into regions due to the inadequate transport infrastructure between North and South Wales. Indeed, only the Welsh Premier League caters for fully "national" football. Clubs from the Anglesey League are entered into the North Wales Coast FA Cup, which is a regional Cup within Welsh domestic football. You will also note that former Welsh Premier League teams can be relegated down to the Anglesey League (see Cemaes Bay). I feel my in depth knowledge of football on Anglesey will be of benefit to people looking into Welsh football as a whole. Sonaefc (talk) 19:17, 17 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Sonaefc, thank your for the answer. Unfortunately there is no article about the North Wales Coast FA Cup (it is mentioned in the article about the English FA Cup). Maybe you want to write one, would fill a gap. It isn' mentioned in Football in Wales.--Ben Ben (talk) 20:14, 17 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Ben, excellent thank you. I must admit, having my first ever page deleted after spending hours on it was most demoralising and I nearly decided to give up contributing altogether, but your advice and comments have certainly helped; plus your invitation to write an article about the North Wales Coast FA Cup has reignited my desire to write about Anglesey football. By the way, perhaps you could take a look at my changes made to the Llandegfan Antelope FC page and advise whether it is now suitable? Thanks in advance. Hello Sonaefc, I had a look at your article at User:Sonaefc/Llandegfan Antelope FC. I don't want to discourage you from writing articles for Wikipedia, but - to say it frankly - you will not get an article on wiki that is about a tier 6/Sunday League team. Except other notability, for example, founding member of the Wales league or similar would be given. The teams in your league, that have an article, are the reserve teams of higher level teams. Sorry, but "my" team also doesn't have one, they have their own web site instead. Don't try, you only will get frustrated with a second deletion. --Ben Ben (talk) 19:09, 18 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I've moved that to the bottom of the page, where it should be. Peridon (talk) 15:25, 18 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
