Hey, welcome and thanks for repairing vandalism, like in Dr. Seuss. Glad to have you helping out, we always need folks to revert vandalism. For contributing, here are some pages that you might find helpful:

If you're interested in helping to revert vandalism more, let me know on my talk page and I can help you find useful tools for reverting vandalism. Also let me know if you need anything or want to discuss anything. Thanks again for helping out! Peace, delldot talk 16:07, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I use the warning templates listed at WP:UTTM. {{uw-v1}} for the first offense, {{uw-v2}} for the second, and so on up to {{uw-v4}} (the last warning), after which you can report them to WP:AIV for blocking if they continue. Now, if you want to get really high tech, check out WP:TWINKLE, which I would marry except that it's a piece of code, making that impossible. delldot talk 16:13, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Done, thanks for the heads up on that one. I'll keep an eye on them. Peace, delldot talk 19:49, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Parameters

[edit]

Well you can add a pipe (this thing: |) and after that you can put the article they vandalized. That will add "as you did to Bear" (or whatever). I don't know about the date, but some of the programs like twinkle or vandalProof will add headers with the date automatically. There's also {{test1}} and so on, but I think the uw ones are the state of the art. Peace, delldot talk 16:00, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Katherine Blodgett needs renaming & redirection

[edit]

Katherine Blodgett should be Katharine B. Blodgett (as evidenced by her patent 02220860 but I don't know how to make that change

{{helpme}}

Renaming and redirecting a page can be done with the 'move' tab by any editor whose account is at least 4 days old. Because your account is too new to do this at the moment (the feature should be enabled for you some time tomorrow) I'll make the change for you. Hope that helps! --ais523 17:21, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

re: 213.232.79.139 really blocked?

[edit]

Yes, blocked. You can confirm this by going to Special:Contributions/213.232.79.139 and clicking on the little 'Block log' link in the top left. A user can edit one's own talkpage even if they are blocked, unless the page is protected - this is so that s/he can request {{unblock}}. Hope that helps!
