Regarading removal content "2G spectrum..." from the article "Subrata Roy"

[edit]

Since the concerned matter is sub-judice, i.e. pending before court of law, any vexatious or biased comment or accusation causing damage to the image and reputation of an individual in lieu of any court verdict against the said individual, amounts to a criminal offence of Defamation under section 499 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860. All persons who draft, publish, or aid and assist in drafting or publishing any such defamatory content are liable to be prosecuted in the court of law. --115.113.103.104 (talk) 08:52, 29 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The IP address posting the above has now been blocked for making legal threats. In addition, it has been pointed out that the "Indian Penal Code" is likely of no relevance to editors who are not located in India, nor to Wikipedia itself (since Wikipedia is not hosted in India). --Demiurge1000 (talk) 14:20, 29 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Robert W. Poole, Jr.

[edit]

I noticed that you reverted edits to Robert W. Poole, Jr. and issued a template warning to the editor who blanked the page. I was about to do the same when I noticed that the editor who blanked it was also the page creator. In the circumstances, I interpreted this as an implicit request for deletion. While the editor has had some copyright issues perhaps a template warning might be a little harsh in this instance. FrankFlanagan (talk) 21:37, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You are welcome, I have done worse and am sure that I will do again.FrankFlanagan (talk) 21:45, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Failed to check everything that I should have checked, sometimes because I did not realise that I should have checked something, or perhaps that it was possible to check and sometimes because I thought the correct response to something was so obvious that there was no need to check. Sometimes, when having reverted blatent vandalismm, it is hard to remember the 'assume good faith' principle and that a new editor can mess up a page commpletly unintentionally. Headmasters nickname

[edit]

I can find nowhere where the nickname is mentioned (the college isnt going to put something like that on their website) so I have omitted it from the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.11.93.44 (talk) 16:53, 8 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Dawn Porter

[edit]

I have reverted your own recent revert at Dawn Porter and added a note to counteract that which you posted - see User_talk:Dbusher#July_2011. Thanks. - Sitush (talk) 20:10, 8 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for making me noticed. Should I revert the warning on the user talk page also ? Socialservice (talk) 20:34, 8 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Don't think you need to go that far &, in any event, now that I have commented there any refactoring would itself present problems. Maybe just drop a line to apologise for the confusion? These things happen (and don't I know it!). - Sitush (talk) 20:42, 8 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

Lakehead University

[edit]

Hi Socialservice, I noticed you had reverted the changes I made to the Lakehead University article citing "sources" as the reason. Given my edits were mostly a re-arrangement of previous content to improve sentence structure and flow, can you please indicate specifics as to which details require additional sources? Nganga2 (talk) 00:21, 10 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for adding references now. Socialservice (talk) 07:23, 10 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I alerted the other editor that the one title shouldn't be censored, but I don't think I can properly judge whether the "#" should be an U or an I. :) Calabe1992 (talk) 19:24, 21 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Even I didn't know so i reverted my edit. :) Socialservice (talk) 05:11, 22 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
