Anti-vandal scripts?

[edit]

{{helpme}} I've been using Lupin's Anti-Vandal tool for about a day, but then I made an edit to my monobook.js that somehow stopped it from working. I reverted my own edit and bypassed my browser cache, but it still won't work. Also, Twinkle won't work for me even after I turned it on in my preferences. I've also tried putting it on my monobook.js but that won't work either. Can anyone please help me? SobaNoodleForYou 20:37, 24 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I looks like what you are trying to do is copy the code directly into your monobook, and it doesn't look like all of it is there anyways. What you should do is use the importScript code to import the scripts. Look at my monobook to see how I have it. Hopefully that will help you. Even having a single ';' missing will break your entire monobook.js --Terrillja talk 20:29, 24 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It still seems kinda weird to me that it worked yesterday, but after editing and reverting my monobook.js, it stopped working. Anyway, I tried putting in what I want, and it still doesn't work. I bypass my cache every time I update my monobook.js. (I use Firefox, by the way, if that helps.) Is there still something wrong with the code? And thanks for helping. SobaNoodleForYou 20:37, 24 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The code looks right now, you may have to completely clear your cache to get it to work. You also don't have to add the helpme, I'm watching this page and will stick around until we get this to work. I think it would be faster if you log onto IRC so you can get faster responses.
By the looks of your question, I think it would be best to have you log on to IRC. This way I can get others on #wikipedia-en-help to help you in addition to me. This link will direct you to a web based IRC client. This way you don't have to download anything to talk to us! We are waiting for you.--Terrillja talk 20:53, 24 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I have tried clearing my cache but that won't work either. In any case, I can't stay on the Net any longer today, so I will log into IRC tomorrow. Thanks! SobaNoodleForYou 21:04, 24 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

your sig

is 450 characters. WP:SIG states that only 255 characters are allowed in your sig. Please change it. SimonKSK 22:03, 25 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Message from WikiProject Emo

[edit]

Hello!

You may be interested to know that WikiProject Emo has recently undergone a major revitalization. Please visit the project page to see our new look and check out some of our helpful new features, such as the Assessment Department and the Collaboration of the month.

We are currently holding a roll call to help gauge how many active project members we have. Please visit the project's talk page and add your signature to the roll sheet to express your continued interest in the project. Also, if you have not already done so, please take a minute to add your name to the Participants page along with a brief summary of your emo-related interests, so that other project members will be better able to collaborate with you. If you do not add your signature to the roll sheet by March 31, 2009 your name will be moved to our list of inactive members. We may also take the liberty of removing the project userbox from your userpage if it appears there, to prevent you from automatically appearing in Category:WikiProject Emo members. Of course you are free to rejoin the project and re-add the userbox at any time if you would like to become active in the project again.

Thank you and we hope you will continue to support WikiProject Emo!

Re:The Maine

[edit]

I don't really see redlinks as an aesthetic concern; what makes them unattractive? In any case, redlinks are useful to track things which do not yet have articles; I use them all the time to find needed topics (and that's what they're for, after all). There's certainly nothing unnecessary about them; if anything, the laundry list of bluelinked bands is less useful (those are surely underused links, but no one would think of delinking them, and not without good reason). But in any case, this is really not worth discussing at length; it's three links, for Pete's sake. There are better things to focus our energies on. Chubbles (talk) 06:43, 14 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

March 2009

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to the page Hey Monday has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, please ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. Fastily (talk) 02:40, 29 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I don't want to come off as rude, but I don't see what was so unconstructive about my edit. Could you please explain? SobaNoodleForYou 02:44, 29 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I'm so sorry - I had interpreted the wording as something else while reverting. My bad - Fastily (talk) 02:48, 29 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
