The Gufs/Potter

[edit]

Please explain your reason for placing the POV tag for The Gufs article on the article's talk page. What part is POV? Feel free to edit the article to remove POV portions.

I took the photo of Potter, Wisconsin last Friday. It was taken just west of the bridge, looking west. I am a well-established author who has taken dozens of images of cities and villages in Eastern Wisconsin. Wikipedia has a policy of assuming good faith with editing (and images), so you should be careful about removing edits and images without STRONG justification. Please read the policy. I did, which is why I have asked for your explanation about the Gufs article. Peace! Royalbroil 13:56, 3 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Potter: I'm sorry that I called your act vandalism. That was way too strong, especially to a newcomer. I will read WP:CIVIL 5 times and WP:No Personal Attacks 3 times as my penance. There are quite a few people that come here, leave a quick black mark of vandalism, and then bolt to never be seen again. I hope you decide to stay.
The Gufs: Feel free to edit as you see fit, ESPECIALLY if there is a factual error. Everything in wikipedia is editable, so you never need to ask permission. Just go for it. The policy is WP:BOLD. If someone has a problem with your actions, they should contact you like I did. We are cool now that you gave a satisfactory explanation. Hopefully they will use a better tone than I did. I recommend reading WP:CITE, for other editors will review your additions expecting to see citations (especially on statistics). Citing external website links is also important too. My friend had never heard of The Gufs and was impressed by them.
Since you are living in Wisconsin, I hope you consider joining me in Wikipedia:WikiProject Wisconsin. There are several images requested throughout Wisconsin, which can be found here. --Royalbroil 00:40, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Madison International Speedway

[edit]

I think you are being too sensitive about the image in question. [1] There are pictures of everything on wikipedia. It is totally uncensored. I bet you wouldn't object to the same image if she was wearing a bikini. I arrived at the track before the couple did, and they sat down in front of me. All my picture taking caused them to move later. I don't have any other images of the division that turned out. I insist that the article have an image of each division. I was just learning the camera at that time. You can check out many images that I have taken at a link on my user page to a flickr photostream.

I cropped the image horizontally, and added it back to WikiCommons. [2] --Royalbroil 13:00, 22 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
