[edit]Hello Snowshredder140, and welcome to Wikipedia. Your addition to How to Train Your Dragon 2 has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and a cited source. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied without attribution. If you want to copy from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Moonriddengirl (talk) 10:27, 28 May 2014 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Solarra. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Marley & Me (film) with this edit, without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. ♥ Solarra ♥ ♪ 話 ♪ ߷ ♀ 投稿 ♀ 04:02, 26 June 2014 (UTC)
We apparently both agree that the stars in the infobox should be in order listed on the poster above it. Look at the poster again. Reading from left to right, Adams is third, not fourth. Renner is after her. It's correct now.--Bbb23 (talk) 19:31, 26 June 2014 (UTC)
Finding Dory cast list
[edit]The IMDB and Stitch Kingdom are not reliable sources. The official cast list for Finding Dory was released by Animation Magazine here, and the people who you cited to the IMDB were not listed. Please do not add this credit back until a reliable source, such as Animation Magazine or Variety, confirm it. We can't use the IMDB because anyone can edit that, much like Wikipedia. Similarly, fan blogs are not usable because they have no editorial control. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 20:58, 10 June 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Jason Bourne (film), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page John Powell. Copyright violations
[edit]You appear to be uploading copyrighted images without providing sufficient grounds for their use, under WP:FUR (and more generally, WP:COPYRIGHT). Please note that we can't allow this to keep on happening, as Wikipedia's very existence depends on getting copyright correct. Note also that Wikipedia's policies on fair-use are perhaps more strict than the law would permit. Please refrain from uploading any more copyrighted images or adding copyrighted images to any articles, unless you are absolutely sure you have read and understood these policies, and specifically have added source, license, and a detailed and specific fair-use rationale for each use. Any further violations may unfortunately result in a block. That's not a threat, it looks like you are a great editor with good intentions, it's just that repeated copyright violations have to result in blocks, to protect the very existence of the Wikipedia. --Yamla (talk) 20:29, 31 July 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Cinemascore
[edit]I've noticed you have added Cinemascore to various Wikipedia film articles, that's great. Even better I notice that in some cases you have been able to reference reliable sources.[1] not just the cinemascore main page.
It might help you to know that depending on the time period you can find Cinemascore information in particular publications. You seem to be already aware that Deadline.com is a good place to find references for recent films from the last 10 years or so. I expect you are already doing Google searches and using the site specific search site:deadline.com
parameter to make things easier. For older films site:latimes.com
and site:ew.com
are good places to try and find cinemascores. If you are willing to spend more time on it a site specific search of site:boxofficemojo.com
can sometimes be helpful too.
Keep up the good work. -- 109.76.203.12 (talk) 15:29, 11 March 2022 (UTC)
