License tagging for Image:NPW logo.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:NPW logo.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 15:08, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

I was having a look at the userbox you recently made- shouldn't it say 'This user patrols new pages using NP Watcher.'? I would edit it myself, but I feel that it is yours to edit, seeing as it is in your userspace. J Milburn 16:23, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

Hi - thanks for doing the NPW userbox and category! I'm not sure of the licensing for the image, as I was given use of it by User:SonicChao, but can't remember the license he put it under. I've left him a message asking though. Feel welcome to add it to the main NPW page, if you like - I would do it, but my online time is limited (see my userpage for why). My Signature
Hello, I have read WP:SIG:
If you are asked to change your signature, please avoid interpreting a polite request as an attack. As Wikipedia is based on working together in harmony, both parties should work together to find a mutually acceptable solution.
and I will, the guideline also goes on to say:
- Markup such as
<big>
tags (which produce big text), or line breaks (<br />
tags) are to be avoided, since they disrupt the way that surrounding text displays- Be sparing with superscript or subscript. In some cases, this type of script can also affect the way that surrounding text is displayed
- Avoid making your signature so small that it is difficult to read
Obviously if you think that there is a problem, then I'm more than happy to resolve it with you. Are you sure it attracts attention to my comments? I doubt more than any other any other huge colorful box sig. Right, here are the options:
- Dfrg.msc Plain
Cheers, Dfrg.msc 22:44, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
- Oh, thanks, well, I'd be happy to change it if there were a viable alternative, unfortunately it's either too big or small. Thanks for your concern, Dfrg.msc 23:02, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

dubnine12c
Hello administrators, I would most welcome your help with trying to alter the content to meet your guidelines. I am quite new to the Wikipedia experience, however I have tried to limit the content to being strictly non commercial bearing in mind your guidelines.
In fact if you can write a better article for said site even better, I would like to add that in my opinion the article contains little reference to commercial activities whereas an article for say UBS has a breakdown of the corporate strategy.
I am very open to discussion and will take all views on board.
I look forward to hearing from you, dubnine12c. —Preceding unsigned comment added by dubnine12c (talk • contribs)

American Conservatives bot error
I am not sure if the error is occurring across the board, but on the Tom Tancredo page, a blank line after [[Category:American conservatives|Tancredo, Tom]] and the de:Tom Tancredo line were also removed. It appears to be a flaw in the bot if the category is the last on the list. John McCain and some others came through clean, but I figured you would want to know. (Going from 3% CPU load to 100% every other second drives me batty...) So for the time being, I'm stuck with IE until the next Firefox version. I may try a cache clear and see what happens. Milestone Tool
Hi Snowolf, as you may now, the m:Toolserver suffers from "replication lag", which is explained somewhat at http://tools.wikimedia.de/~tangotango/replag.php. The English Wikipedia database on the toolserver currently represents the toolserver as of 22 days and a few hours ago; that means all edits you made since then are not recorded in the toolserver database. Since the Milestone tool is a toolserver tool, it is affected by this lag. I hope this answers your query. Cheers, Tangotango (talk) 12:09, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

Hi, I've noticed you've warned this today. I suggest you change the warning to a uw-vandalism4im. The Ip has a history of vandalism and blocks. Happy Editing by Snowolf(talk)CONCOI on 14:32, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

- I'm sorry to be bothering you with these questions... you have been very helpful so far in letting me know that I am not alone on here, and that most users are helpful and friendly. :-)
- I think that things could be resolved if you can offer advice on a matter of debate. according to http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:Vandalism it says:
- Talk page vandalism: Removing the comments of other users from talk pages other than your own, aside from removing internal spam, vandalism, etc. is generally considered vandalism. Removing personal attacks is often considered legitimate, and it is considered acceptable to archive an overly long talk page by creating an archive page and moving the text from the main talk page there. The above rules do not apply to a user's own talk page, where this policy does not itself prohibit the removal and archival of comments at the user's discretion. Please note, though, that removing warnings from one's own talk page is often frowned upon.
- I have removed his comments from my talk page (and I feel that they speak for themselves). However, he keeps restoring them saying that I am page blanking. (and adding warnings) I feel that the rules are clear on this matter. I would like to be done with this situation, and remove his comments as the rules above state that I can do. (He is also threatening retaliation) I appreciate any help in this matter--Kattie90 06:41, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
User Category for Discussion
- I think it's awesome that you went to the effort to let all the category contributors know about the discussion. However, since I've done (and will likely do more in the future) quite a bit of category changes per WP:UCFD, notifying me for every user cat that I've modified would likely spam me : )
- The same likely goes for User:Mike Selinker, and User:VegaDark, among others.
- That said, I want to repeat and say that I think it was rather nice of you to go through the effort to notify all the category contributors.
- Hope you're having a great day : ) - jc37 07:27, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, you haven't notified me of any yet but I wouldn't be surprised if any you nominate in the future I will have edited. If that is the case don't bother notifying me unless I was the original author of the category and the category edit summary when I created it does not mention CFD/UCFD (i.e. I don't want to be notified of categories I created as a result of admin activities). Anyway, the reason I came here was to ask you what the template you use is to notify other people. I do this also (only the original creator, not everyone who edited it though) and I have been writing it out each time, but it would be much easier with a template like that, but I can't find it. Thanks, VegaDark 23:45, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

Andor Technology
Hi Snowolf
I have been trying (it seems like in vain) to find a resolve to this current situation.
Let me put things in context. I would like to post a listing for Andor onto Wikipedia. I think our initial attempt contained to many commercial references. I subsequently attempted to amend this, but alas it has already disappeared into the ether. Some mods (including yourself) have made comments but there does not seem to be much by way of dialog.
One of the main barriers put up was Andor is not a notable company. I hope I have suceeded in outlining how we are notable in the context of Northern Ireland. Can you make a call / judgement if we are in fact NOTABLE?
I really would appreciate some guidance on this. I am relatively new to Wikipedia, so I am not au fait with all the protocal or procedures. Thanks.

"and they learn how to wipe there butt when they turn 20 and you can drink beer when your two"
I removed this because it was completely irrelevant and unsupported. Please revert to my edit. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.177.78.115 (talk) 15:18, 26 February 2007 (UTC).
Kelso, Washington
Thank you for fixing the vandalism i accidentally reverted to rather than the correct edit for the wiki page Kelso, Washington. I meant to choose an older version but picked the wrong one. It is good to know that you were watching to correct my mistake. Shotmenot 17:03, 26 February 2007 (UTC)

Thai lunar calendar
I seem to be screwing up big time! I only wanted to add a label to Athikamas Leap Month that repeats 30-day Month 8, beginning in July, ending 15 August 2004
that explains why I put it there in the first place. In doing so, I seem to have wiped out everything below names of lunar dates, and also seem to be screwing up your attempts to fix my screw-ups! I'm giving up and going to bed as it is 02:57 AM here in Siam! Lee 19:57, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
USS Kitty Hawk (CV-63)
Sorry, thought I was already logged in. The kitty hawk article was taken out cause it was somehow repeated over again from above it in the Future section on it. Not sure if you saw that too.
Oops forgot to say it was from me That-Vela-Fella 22:57, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
Thank you, I will. I do have a small situation though with this person named Ultramarine who twice changed something I put under Universal suffrage about Brunei, even after I put sources with it. They have not given me any valid reason why it shouldn't be there as it's also stated on another page with the source also! I'll let you know if he does it again. Upper Canada College
You accused me of REMOVING content from the Upper Canada College. In fact, I was put content BACK that had been DELETED. Then *YOU* removed the content. Jonawiki 00:19, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
- why did you give Jonawiki a removal warning 2 counts for adding to an article? Worst case he could get one. But he added out a section that has been taken out. If you could remove that warning for removing wiki content please it would be nice. Yes this issue between them is in the very beginning stages of mediation. But he (Jonawiki) should not be warned about removing when he added content.--Xiahou 00:27, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
- Ah, just to be clear - the info wasn't deleted, it was moved a week or so ago to the sister article History of Upper Canada College, with a summary of the ethnic issues/scandals left in the main article history and current events sections. Jonawiki is re-inserting what was moved as he feels the sister article isn't a prominent enough location to advertise a specific part of UCC's past. Sorry if this is causing any undue problems. --G2bambino 00:50, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
Upper Canada College
What "unhelpful and non-constructive" content did I add to the Upper Canada College article. Please be specific. Are you a sock puppet for G2Bambino? Jonawiki 00:21, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
- Fine, you're not a sock puppet. But let's review the facts.
- (1) You accuse me of adding "unhelpful and non-constructive" content to the Upper Canada College article but never specify exactly what that content was. Do you mean that I was UNDELETING sections that had been in the article for months? Will you now acknowledge your error and apologize?
- (2) You accused me of REMOVING content from the Upper Canada College. In fact, I was put content BACK that had been DELETED. Then *YOU* removed the content. Then Xiaohou reaffirms your error. Will you now acknowledge your error and apologize?
- (3) Why didn't you take notice of the fact that the gender/race/scandal sections had ALSO been removed many times in the past 3 days by G2bambino? Why didn't you warn him? This seems the height of hypocracy to me that you warn one side for deletions but not the other side. Will you now acknowledge your error and apologize?
- These gross inconsistencies in conduct only reinforce the laughable reputation that wiki has in the real world. You really need to take a hard look at your behavior and atone. Jonawiki 14:20, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
removal of the dumbfuckistan link in the Jesusland wikipage
The dumbfuckistan map link that you undid is referred to earlier in the wiki, albeit the original SNL TV Funhouse cartoon. So it is keeping with the spirit of the wiki and shouldn't be seen as 'not helpful.' Thanks. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by CSears (talk • contribs) 02:49, 27 February 2007 (UTC).

This confusing and rather contradictory message is probably supposed to promote WikiLove and hopefully has made your day better, or just weirder. Cheers, Dfrg.msc 06:41, 21 February 2007 (UTC).
