A tag has been placed on Peer Holm Jorgensen requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. noq (talk) 14:19, 11 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft articles

[edit]

Hi. Welcome, again, to Wikipedia. You are doing the right thing by preparing these article as userspace drafts; I have deleted Peer Holm Jorgensen for the moment, as we don't have "watch this space" articles in the encyclopedia.

Read WP:Your first article for general advice; note in particular that if articles are to be kept, they need to establish that their subjects are notable in Wikipedia terms, which is not a matter of opinion but has to be demonstrated by showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." Significant means more than just listing-type mentions; reliable excludes Myspace, Facebook, blogs, places where anyone can post anything; independent excludes the subject's own website, affiliated ones like publishers, and anything based on press releases. The test is, have people independent of the subject thought it significant enough to write substantial comment about?

There is more detail at WP:Notability (people), particularly the section WP:AUTHOR, and at WP:Notability (books). Regards, JohnCD (talk) 14:32, 11 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

In response to your feedback

[edit]

There is, in fact, a way to do this. Wikipedia:Requested moves is a page where you can ask for your page to be moved to a new name. Just remember: around here, you can always ask for help. The Help Desk is a great place to do it. Good luck!

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on The Forgotten Massacre, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item G11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.  Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 17:47, 11 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Peer Holm Jorgensen requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". The Forgotten Massacre

[edit]

I have deleted the article, in part because of the reason given on the tag - apparent promotion - but also because large parts (if not all...) of it were copyright violations of www.isotia.com. Please see WP:COPYVIO. Wikipedia cannot accept text copyright elsewhere, unless this is licensed under Creative Commons (details in the policy). I wouldn't advise trying to get Isotia to license the text to us, as it would again fall foul of the promotional nature of the wording. The book may be notable - if you can find reliable independent sources to prove that it is, there is a chance of an article. But not as is, or without the reliable sources WP:RS. Peridon (talk) 18:40, 11 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Having just read the article on Peer Holm Jorgensen, this might be a more difficult task. It would appear that Isotia is his company, and thus his books are regarded as self-published. Very few self-published works achieve articles, as very few of them have the notability of books published by 'professional' publishers (although they can make serious errors at times and publish things that sink without trace). Sorry, but that's the way it is. Peridon (talk) 18:46, 11 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
